The Kusttram can be extremely crowded during the tourist season, but it does remain the best option to travel from one seaside resort to the next. I accept that advertising is a source of income for De Lijn, the public transport company operating the Kusttram, but the carriages are virtually "wrapped" and that spoils the view of the seaside completely.... This is a good way to travel, the route covers 58 stops between almost the Dutch Boarder to almost the French Boarder. The nicest way we have found is to Du Pann which is the French direction, for a distance it runs alongside the sea, just outside the city on the left is the restored museum of the Atlantic Wall... We have done this a few times now travelling the length from De Panne to Knokke. Great way to travel and see the Belgian coast. We just got on and off when we saw somewhere we wanted to eat or a piece of the sea that looked interesting. The low floor trams made it easy traveling with a person with... More

This regular tram enabled us to visit wherever we wished to see along the coast for a very cheap ticket. It was clean, efficient and ran very regularly.

No more parkingproblems. Cheaperthan ween you have to park your car. Easy, fast, and during the holidays the Kusttram picks you up every 10 minute. Meanwhile it is the best way for sideseeing and watching people.

Every 10 minutes a vehicle takes you in about 50 minutes from Ostend to Knokke. Here , besides the beach you have all the opportunities to shop in very elegant surroundings. A lot of restaurants and pubs.
