This is the most complete walled city I have yet to see in Europe. The walls are still wholly intact and surround the city.

These walls hold so much history it is well worth looking for them and thinking about how they must have been years ago. Any relic of this age and importance is worth a visit.

The walls are well preserved. There are inner walls from the Roman period and the outer walls are medieval.

By examining the walls and where they go, what is built and how it all fits together, you get a better look at life long ago. What we use now is so technological - where here the beauty outlasts the needs. Romantic? Yes!

The walls are not the most impressive , but still well preserved and nice to look at. Pays to read up a little about the city ahead of time to fully appreciate what you are looking at. You can clearly see some European sections and...More

Very well kept. A jewel to be preserved. I advise you to go around the wall walking or by car to get an idea of it all. Visiting only the interior we have no idea of architectural beauty.
