Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This church looks so white...maybe recently repainted? Beautiful location in the old part of town... couldn't check out the inside of the church though, all locked up, unfortunately!

Sant 'Ana Church ( Iglesia De Sant 'Ana ) is a beautiful church located in the wonderful Old Town of Albufeira.
The whitewashed buildings in the Old Town are beautiful and so is the Old Town but it is lacking in great landmark structures but this church is most definitely one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture that is to be found in the Old Town.
A beautiful evocative looking facade even more stunning when illuminated at night gives way to a really fantastic looking interior, very ornate and very pleasing on the eye, on this holiday to Albufeira I never ventured into the church but have on previous holidays, it's just so beautiful and tranquil but on our latest holiday to this sun drenched resort I was more than content to just admire the church and take a few photos before moving on.
At the side of the Church is a stunning statue to San Vincente De Albufeira which is also well worth checking out.
Easy to locate on Praca Jacinto D' Ayet in the wonderful Old Town, an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination.

Sant'Ana church is one of the churches of Albufeira, a turistical town located in Algarve, in the South part of Portugal. It is nice and it is located in the old town of the city. Pitifully, when we go there it was closed, so we only see it from outside. Ok if you walk around this place.

Stumbled across this church when out walking one morning, there was a celebration going on with families attending holding baskets and dressed traditionally. We couldn't understand what was going on, but it was breath taking to see so many people outside, there was a loud speaker of the mass being said inside the church. Wish we could go inside and experience it, however we were being respectful. Would visit again as the reviews are inspiring.

We missed this last time and I don't know how, it's over the road from where we stayed. What a beautiful little church. Obviously a tourist attraction as there was always people walking up the little hill to it. Unfortunately it was always closed when we went to go in,but it holds a great deal of affection for the locals, who always sat on the benches outside . Worth a look.
