Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked to Vale de Centeanes to find this beach. If you’re walking, there are a lot of stairs to get down to the beach, but it’s a really nice cove. Much better if you’re in @ car as parking on more o4 less the same level as the beach, so much easier. They start boat trips from here to visit the caves. Prices 22.50 for adults and 12.50 for child. Recommended and worth a visit. O Stop restaurant an£ beach bar serves food and drinks, indoors and outside.

You can easily walk to this beach along the coastal path from Carvoeiro or Rocha Brava, it's not too far. It's also accessible by car, and there's a bus stop just up the hill so you'd think it would be busier. There is a cafe here in the season but it was closed this week. The boat tours of the caves run from here sometimes if the weather is good.

Fantastic little beach, although there is no shade. Unless your silly enough to ignore the danger signs and sit really close to the cliff or pay to rent a shade you really need to take one with you. Lots of little fish in the water and a cave to one end that can be accessed at low tide. The surf can be quite strong making getting in and out the water a challenge sometimes so not the best for small children, but we had a lot of fun with this and once in the water is perfect. There is a beachside restaurant/refreshments, we didn't find the restaurant too good but its definitely handy to be able to buy drinks etc. without a trek back upthe steps or slope. Beach can get busy but no more than any other. There's also boat tours to see the benalgi cave that run from the beach.

Lovely beach a short walk from Carvoeiro town. Lovely sand and clean, clear water. During our visit, it wasn't overcrowded. The cafe at the entrance to the beach served good drinks although the service was quite slow.

Beach full of algae, with bad smell and lots of mosquitoes. It is amazing how someone lets get this beach to this point, on the nearby beaches are not this way. How do you concession the beach don't want to know about this or do something about it.

This small but lovely beach is located at the foot of the Carvoeiro cliffs. It wasn't crowded when we visited. We had a little trouble finding a place to put our towels. We didn't see any umbrellas or loungers for rent - but it could be that they just don't bring them out in the off-season. And we preferred it that way anyway. There is a beach bar with a restaurant, public toilets and a beach guard.

This beach is about a 20 minute walk from Carvoeiro along the road. Beautiful clean sand and it’s great to watch the rollers coming in but watch out as they can take you by surprise and you could end up getting wet towels when they crash up onto the beach as the high tide comes in. Take a sun shade as you’ll need it as no shady areas in the day. Lovely views of the cliffs and would definitely recommend the beach bar at the entrance. A fabulous day out.

This is a stunning little beach between Carvoerio and Rocha Brava. Recommend if you want somewhere a little different and a bit quieter than its large cousin at Carvoerio. which is just a 20 min walk away.

When staying in Carvoeiro this is our favorite beach. Love going in the evenings and watch the waves hitting the coastline as the sunsets, with a glass on wine from the OneStop restaurant on the beach.
