Our family (2 adults, 2 kids, age 5 & 11) spent a full day with friends at Alvor beach and it was gorgeous. The weather was beautiful, the water was cool but refreshing and the beach wasn't too crowded. After a few hours we went...More

Long sandy beach stretching around the bay, with the boardwalk which is suitable for wheelchair access also and leads off at various points to hotels and cafés. Very clean.

This is a lovely sandy beach, not too busy, safe and lifeguards around. We (mum and dad) spent the afternoon here with the "kids" (11, 13, 15) rather than by the pool. Parking was easy and 2 minutes walk onto the beach. There are two...More

Lovely place for a long 6 mile walk while collecting shells. It was pretty much deserted and lovely sand.

Great evening out, the village is packed with great restaurants and bars. The marina area has lots of first class fish restaurants and overall it is a friendly and welcoming environment.

We were very impressed with this Quaint old fishing village. It has a broad walk along the edge of the estuary, which is wonderful for wildlife. There is an array of restaurants and bars. They have an Irish quarter for those looking for a craic
