Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nothing of great note to say.
It's a view of the Ocean much like the coastline for hundreds of miles each way, you would only know that it was the most south western point of europe because the spiel says so.
There was a cost to use the toilets which I find unacceptable in this day and age.

This is a special and elemental place to visit. For the first time while visiting the Cabo it was warm and sunny, usually it it wild and cold. It's worth the extra trouble to visit this place and immerse yourself in its unique atmosphere.

The scaffolding Covers the lighthouse. There is nothing to really see or do. The crowd is thin and the weather is not ideal for being here. The unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean is beautiful. I would not make a special trip out but if passing make a stop. Neighboring Salema is beautiful!

as it is the most south westerly point of mainland Europe. Great views to the right on arrival: west coast of Portugal. Crashing waves. We were there when there was hardly a breeze so did not feel that remote or wild. Look out for interesting birds.

Great views from the cliffs, no problem parking, easy access. A bit too touristy for my liking, but as expected. We have been there with our dog (not inside of the area of lighthouse - not sure if that is dog-friendly). Quite windy, so wear a hat if you are wind-sensitive.

End of the road. Roadside parking. You're at the western end of Algarve. It's windy all the time, so protect your caps, hats or shawls :-) It'good to visit a site of the lighthouse (look for the sea "sculptures") but the real views are outside - on the cliffs. The sea can be rough at times giving a nice spectacle of waves crashing on the rocks beneath the lighthouse. Better not to wear flip-flops as the area is quite rocky. Go there and enjoy the views.

This cape is now the southwesternmost point of mainland Europe and prior to the 15th century was considered the end of the world. It is a wild stretch of coast with 40 metre high, near vertical cliffs constantly battered by the ocean. The low concrete barriers seem barely adequate to ensure safety and it would be normal to feel a little uneasy looking down. There are gift shops, toilets and a cafe. Well worth the visit if you don't suffer from vertigo.

Don’t just drive there for the views, bring your hiking shoes and head up the coast. We did a 3 hour circular trail (12km) and could not stop being amazed by the view from the cliffs and all the colours on the rocks.
Don’t forget to bring water, sun screen and a hat, it is very exposed.
The light house is way more spectacular to view from a distance, go to the Fortaleza in Sagres for the best view. If you get peckish you can try the food in the many food trucks that seem to be permanently parked by the car park.

Sagres itself was a bit of a let down as expected more. Maybe missed something but not obvious.
Sagres was ideal though as a platform for going onto Cape St. Vincent which was amazing.
No toilets in operation in Cape St. Vincent as lighthouse cafe was closed. You can walk from Cape St. Vincent back to Sagres which has some amazing views but parts of it are rough & rocky terrain.
In Summary - Cape St. Vincent was beautiful (but quite busy) & Sagres felt a bit non-descript with little/nothing about it.

Roto Vincentina or Cape Vincent. The southwest most point in continental Europe. We were lucky the bus did not leave right away as we ascertained the fort was closed. Took a few pictures and got back on the bus. Bus from Lagos only comes here a couple of times a day.

Io atterro a FARO. E vorrei fare tutta,la costa meridionale a piedi fino a cabo San vicente in una settimana.
Qualcuno mi saprebbe dare delle ulteriori informazioni ?
Grazie in anticipo.

The restaurant at the site is good place to stop and have an acceptable tourist lunch, nothing special but fitting for the site and the average visitor. If you have walked to to the cape along the trails that line the cliffs it will be a pleasant rest and tasty in a non sophisticated way, many tourists will be there. BUT if you are a romantic and the sun is going down toasted with wine and food- what could be better?

Hi Tony
How close is the bus stop to the lighthouse?
Need to know as I have two young children who are a slow walkers
Thanks
Andre

Hi Andre
The bus stops right at the end next to the building where the lighthouse is located, along with the cafe and gift shop. It then parked up less than 100 meters from it. So you shouldn't be that far away at all. The stalls with clothes and souvenirs are further away back down the road.
