I still can’t believe people just sat and watched the volcano erupt. T was very windy the day we went and it was like being sand blasted . I noticed some of the workers parked up the road a bit to stay out of the...More
This is a stunning Centre in a stunning landscape. Built underground to be unobtrusive, it is very informative and well laid-out. And the surrounding landscape is beautiful. Definitely well woth a visit.
We didn’t take any organized tour and were greatfull. Cost 10€ each for the museum and lighthouse. The centre was a very nice surprise with some great films and interesting exhibits...had to stumble along to discover everything but well worth it. The lighthouse was a...More
This museum-like place is Good. It’s nice to get to know about the origin of the vulcano that formed the surrounding as well as how vulcanos formed the Azores. It has been neatly built into the ground in order to respect its environment.
