Looking for traditional Portuguese sweets and a good coffee? We have been here several times and we have never been disappointed. They have a small sitting area on the sidewalk, too.

Lots of traditional pastries to choose from. It's easy to find just a short walk from the Town Hall.

Went in looking for the traditional island bread, bolo levedo, found cookies instead. Not a bad trade off. Not sure if bolo levedo is just not carried here or if not available as they are ramped up for the holidays. Noticed nice selection of cookies...More

Easy to find and has tons of pastries for you to choose from. Not that expensive. I definitely recommend. Don't accept credit cards.

Actually, I really liked the coffee here. Just up the street from the Vasco dia Gama statue. We had two cakes, a traditional Portuguese custard cake and a D.amelia. Both very nice. I liked sitting outside listening to the church bells.

D. Amelia!!! A delicious cake that can be found in most of the cafes of Terceira but here it is absolutely excellent and surpasses all the other places i've been.

Fabulous pastries. Best Dona Amelia cakes I had on the island. We also had a puff pastry with cream and a fruit-filled turnover. Excellent coffee as well. Friendly staff. An excellent spot for a quick snack or a quiet afternoon break.
