Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The blue-white Azulejos tiles, one of Portugal's main features are widely used for decorations.
Almost all Churches we visited on our 7 days Portugal are decorated with them both, inside and outside.
This is also the case with this Church in the very center of Aveiro. They give life to a pretty ordinary facade, stretching further inside making a terrific contrast with gilded altar.

In the omd town of Aveiro, the Ogreja da Musericodia is a lovely church. It ha beautiful tiled walls and a high altar adorned with decorative panels and gold gilt.
There is a high arched ceiling but bare of decoration. Free to enter and right on Place de Republica. Well worth a visit.

This church is just in the center of the city. The facade is nice but for me it was just a normal church.

We visited this church today, to have a 10 minute quiet reflection. We don’t have a firm faith but this, and many other churches offer a space for respectful contemplation. The alter is ornate and golden but the whole space has a more modern feel. Have a look and make up your own mind.

We've been only on the outside (it was unfortunately closed). But it was worth it! Beautiful tile work.

The tiled exterior of this church caught our attention so we had a look around inside. The alter is quite nice and worth a look.
