Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This group of sculptures which stand along the side of the canal that crosses through the centre of Aveiro are dedicated to Ovos Moles, a Portuguese delicacy seen all over Portugal, but especially in Aveiro where they originate from.
I understand that real ovos moles can only be made in Aveiro as in 2008 this delicacy was classified as a product with Protected Geographical Indication by the European Union – the first Portuguese bakery product to get this classification.

It looks like a huge "ovo mole" (typhical monastic sweet made of sugar and eggs). It is a good place for you sit and relax a bit, while watching the "moliceiros" (typhical Aveiro boat) come and go. Maybe it was made to whet your appetite because you wil probably be eager to taste a real one

This is an unusual piece of artwork, apparently dedicated to pastry. Easy to find along the canal. Well worth a look.

At first it can be hard to get your head around the concept of the Ovo Mole, But then you are not supposed to get your head around it but your mouth and then your stomach. A monument to a pastry is a lovely thing and visible from the canal as it is, makes it an even better embellishment to Aveiro.

And as Aveiro is the land of soft eggs, the monument alluding to it could not be missing. It can be observed in the park where it is located or by taking a walk in the moliceiro.
