The Aveiro Railway station has a particular facade with a lot of azulejos. The pity is that there was works in course and it was not possible to see it completely.

Clean efficient and very easily navigable especially for tourists. So very cheap to travel - 8 euro return for 4 from Oporto to Aviero and only an hour apart. Totally bowled over by the clean electric air conditioned trains. 50 cents to use the toilet...More

The interesting part of this railway station is only the tiles on this building, nothing much. They blocked this building so we cannot enter to this old station.

It's worth the 10-minute walk from the town centre to see the tiled facade of Aveiro's station. It exemplifies the Portuguese love of story-telling with ceramic scenes on buildings. You'll rarely see better.

Unfortunately, there is no such service in Aveiro's train station :\ However, if your bag is not crazy big and you'd handle to carry it around for 1 few minutes, I'd recommend you to stop in Aveiro anyway. Just go down the... More
