So the hotel recommended this place. My husband and two tween girls grab uber and go without booking since the decision was on a whim . We get there to be "greeted" by the only unfriendly people in all Lisbon ! They were taking themselves too seriously ! Anyway after waiting in line for a few minutes , this serious... More

I've been to various clubs in Europe and this one is the worst I've ever been to so far. They wanted my family and I to pay 240 euros per person! I wouldn't recommend it to any sane person wanting to have fun and enjoy his/her time in Lisbon. Very disrespectful and rude bouncers.

Besides being pretentious with some cocky ignorant bouncers, they were racist and mentioned between them that my 'black friend' couldn't come in. I'm white and Portuguese and been there a few times before. It's sad to see this in Lisbon. I'm not going there any longer and people shouldn't support hate and racism in society by going to Lux.

Went to see mano le tough on my stay in lisbon. Club was very good looking and well operated. Price for entrance was €16 which is decent but the drinks were kind of expensive. Staff is also not wat you hope to meet in a club. Overall decent because mano le tough is amazing.

A joke of an establishment. We were told 240€ a person at 3am on a Friday night (they close at 6am). As soon as we declined, some locals standing outside told us this is what they do to tourists. Locals get in for 12-20€ but they hike the price for tourists. Top clubs in Vegas with world renowned DJ's don't... More

I will never go back to this club. I will never recommend someone to go to this club. First of all if they know that you're tourist they will try to rip you off. They wanted to charge me and my friend 240 euros each. When we came back with a local we payed the normal price. Music is horrible,... More

They say best club in Europe! 😂 But the club doesn't accept foreign credit or bank cards. Very arrogant staff.

Really cool stand alone club in a cool warehouse space. The music is a bit techno-esque on some nights but the building is amazing and the vibe friendly. Quite a mixed crowd too. Recommended.

If i could give this place a 0 i would...I came with 6 other friends in May for a hen do. We heard that Lux was picky but was not expecting what happened when we arrived. There was no one inside the club as we got there early..no music could be heard. The doormen were really snooty...looked us up and... More

Staying in Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria

Neighbourhood Profile
Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria
Explore narrow streets and alleyways, small cafes and, of course, the internationally acclaimed Fado music. The earth-shattering Great Earthquake of 1755 destroyed most of the city but the contiguous neighborhoods of Mouraria, Castelo and Alfama remained standing to this day. These neighborhoods represent Lisbon at its historical best. The cool breeze of the Tagus river will take you up the hills to the sound of Fado, where you'll discover the best "tascas," eat delicious fresh fish and drink great wines. Discover hidden viewpoints and ancient traces of other civilizational ruins in the heart of the Portuguese capital. These are centuries-old neighborhoods that will welcome you to the very best of old Lisbon culture.
