Neighbourhood: Graça & São Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
How to get there

This was our favorite viewpoint in Lisbon. It gets quite crowded and it's a long walk from the city center, but the views at sunset are well worth it. Great vibes and great spot for pictures.

Great views of Lisbon & great place to start to explore the old part of Lisbon.
We took an Uber up to this almost highest point , when we arrived we knew taking the Uber up was a good idea - as downhill for the rest of our walk

This viewpoint popped up during my research of things to do in Lisbon. It's free and you get spectacular views of the city. I believe there is a tram that you can take up to the viewpoint but taking an Uber will be quicker and probably cheaper (especially if you have multiple people). We ended up walking to our next destination and it's A LOT of steps to get back down. Luckily, it was going down because going up all of those steps would have been a struggle. It's worth a visit but if you're thinking of walking up, you may want to think twice.

This may be the best view in Lisbon, so take the tram up the hill to this special spot. Expansive views of the river and the Baixa Chiado, and you can even get a good look of the upslope area away from the river. Lots of churches, lots of pretty rooftops. And there is a pleasant square here where you can enjoy a beverage.

This is a beautiful viewpoint that is visible all over the city from most of the other viewpoints. The trees give it an iconic look and wonderful shade on a hot day. Try to get there if you can to enjoy the panoramic views.

I was at the Miradouro da Senhora do Monte yesterday and loved the view of the city from the top there. I then withdrew €80 from the very popular, sole ATM near the viewpoint. This morning I happened to check the balance of the credit card I used there to discover, to my horror, that €525 (= £449) had been taken from my credit card at that ATM. My credit card organisation said that cards are often cloned at ATMs near popular tourist spots and they assured me that I should get my money back.
I won’t be able to relax until I do.
I just wanted to warn you not to use that ATM.

Great views. Decided to get some fresh lemonade and chose to have an alcoholic version with rum. A large measure was added from a Bacardi bottle (causing gasps from my family) but when I took a swig, there was no sign of any rum or any alcohol. Eldest confirmed and the seller looked a bit shocked that I had rumbled him so quickly, but did nothing. Just ignored me and served the next victim. So the rest of the family had pretty decent fresh lemonade while I got watered down tepid lemonade.

Great views. We went via a tuk tuk tour. that was the easy way, eliminating climbing. Good weather helped.

Of all the miradouros (viewpoints) in Lisbon, this is easily the best due to its higher altitude. From here you get a bird's eye view of Praça Martim Moniz looking southwest with the 25 de Abril Bridge (Lisbon's Golden Gate Bridge) and the Cristo Rei statue in the distance. Looking south you get a good view of Castelo de Sao Jorge. But getting here could be a challenge. For the least amount of hiking take tram 28 and get off at the Rua da Graça stop (not the Graça / Miradouro da Graça stop) and hike uphill for 300 meters (about 5 minutes).
