Different Portugal is an Animation Tourism Company that organises sightseeing private tours in Portugal, including day tours, multiday tours and wine & food tours. We very much enjoyed our tour with Filipe of Sintra and Cascais. He took the time to explain everything we were seeing and walking with us in the village of Sintra. He gave us time to view the gardens and property of the Pena Palace and other areas. Loved the beach town of Cascais. I highly recommend this tour with Filipe from Different Portugal.

Very professional and helpful. Share your plan and they will help to accommodate it if possible.
We booked a transport with them for 14 people to Albufare and included 2 sightseeing places and lunch break. Timely they were in our hotel to pick us and take care for all our need during the travel

Filipe guided us through a wonderful tour stopping at both Sintra and Cascais and some other special places. Along the way we had tasty food and plenty of time to explore. He was generous and shared so much great information that helped make our stay in Lisbon wonderful. Hope to come back. One of the best parts of our trip. Highly recommend.

I booked a trip and was very excited to use Filippe! He had planned a great tour and was incredibly accommodating. Unfortunately, with COVID-19, we are not able to travel abroad and don't know when we will be able to be. Filippe was helpful and refunded us right away!! We cannot wait to use him for our next trip.

Our wonderful knowledgeable guide, Manny, picked us up at our ship and created a great day of sightseeing. Pena Palace in Sintra was definitely the highlight. Manny knew the perfect spots to take photos of us just like a professional photographer. We loved looking out to sea from the most western point of Europe. Cascais was a unexpected delightful stop. Lunch at a tiny family run restaurant was delicious.
Manny was one of the very best guides we have ever had!

Just returned from an 11 day trip to Portugal. We hired Manny with Different Portugal for a day trip to Sintra and Cascais. Manny picked us up at our hotel promptly and we were the first in line at the Pena Palace and avoided the long lines. He is very knowledgeable about the history and knew every spot to take the best photos of the views. We then went to the quaint town of Sintra and enjoyed pastries specifically from Sintra and they were delicious. Manny gave us a private wine tasting in one of the shops. Manny knows everyone and everyone loves him!! We had an amazing lunch on the way to Cascais at a local restaurant (seafood stew, squid that was incredible, homemade almond tart and a delicious bottle of wine). Cascais was beautiful and took amazing cliff photos of the water and then we walked around the beach town.
I would highly recommend this tour with Manny!!

What a wonderful experience touring Portugal with Felipe from a Different Portugal!
Felipe lives in Lisbon so he’s a real local
He has a terrific personality and is full of knowledge
From Porto to Douro Valley to Aviero to Obidos to Sinatra and Cascais
Then to Evora, Belem and Mafra and finally to Lisbon. We saw it all.
And he drove us in his Tesla!!!
Felipe and a Different Portugal is the only way to experience it all!!

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful day touring Sintra and Cascais with Manny. He picked us up at the hotel at 8:30 am and drove us to Sintra. His deep knowledge of Portuguese history provided an excellent backdrop during the ride to Sintra and the Pena Palace. We were one of the first to arrive at the palace. This allowed us to go through the rooms and take pictures before the large tours arrived. We then visited the town of Sintra and sampled some excellent pastries. He also took us to a small shop for Port wine and jam tastings. It was so much fun as he imparted his knowledge about wines and jams and how they are made. He continued to take photos of us in terrific spots which highlighted the surroundings. We drove to Cabo Da Roca which is the westernmost location in Europe. It was one of the most beautiful sights we have seen in our travels. The combination of land and sea was breathtaking. We then had a delicious lunch. After lunch he drove us to Cascais and we walked around town by the beach. Throughout the tour Manny continued to discuss not only Portugal but the many other locations around the world he has traveled. He provided excellent recommendations for future places to visit. Manny dropped us off at the hotel around 6 pm. Overall, it was an informative tour and a day we will remember for a long long time. If you are interested in history and want to spend a fun day touring a beautiful part of Portugal, then Manny is your man.

A truly fabulous experience. Our guide, Manny, drove first to the beautiful and historic town of Évora, where we visited a most unusual cathedral and Roman ruins. We then continued on to a winery where we toured, tasted an abundance of wine and feasted on a variety of small plates. He then drive us to Monsaraz, a stunning secret of a hilltop town. Manny- you rock!

A Different Portugal does day tours as well as longer customized tours. Assuming it is not already booked, you should have no problems using them. And pick up at your hotel is included.

I would love to do a tour like this. There will only be 2 of us travelling. We are spending 4 days in Lisbon and would like a day trip to Sintra. I would also like to visit Ericeira and Cascais and possibly Shrine of Fatima.i would also like a wine tasting and a nice lunch somewhere. How many day trips would I need to do this and what would be the approximate cost for each day?

Hi - Cruise stopping in Lisbon on May 2 at 11 am & departing at 8 pm.
Is there a tour that does Lisbon, Sintra, etc. within a 6 hour timeframe i.e. pick us up at the port when disembarkation occurs & get us back to the ship no later than 6:30 pm? What would be the cost?

Yes, we can customize a tour for your group that includes Lisbon and Sintra starting when the cruise docs and finishing around 6pm – 6.30pm (allowing you to be on the cruise at the departing hour). Please find below the tour suggestion:
- Sintra / Belém (Lisbon) tour
In this tour you will visit two historical places, Sintra and Belém. Sintra is a romantic village that enchants through its numerous and beautiful palaces (only time to visit one). Belém was the place from which the Portuguese sailors depart to discover the world in the 15th and 16th centuries. Apart of also being a place of remarkable beauty, it is where you can find the delicious and tasty Pastéis de Belém (a famous cream custard – you really have to try it!).
Itinerary:
- Pick up at 11.00am at the peer
- Visit to Pena Palace OR Quinta da Regaleira (or any other palace of your choice)
- Visit Sintra village
- Visit to Belém area (Jeronimo’s Monastery, Belém Tour, Monument to the Discoveries and the famous Pastéis de Belém – typical pastry)
- Drop off at around 6-6.30pm at the peer

All our tours are private, meaning that you will not share the car with other guests. Your car is exclusively to your group. It also means that you are the ones managing your own time.
