The tower is closed to the public at the moment but interesting to see if strolling along the coast. The cable car stops very close to it if coming from Vasco da Gama shopping mall. It reminded me of the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth U.K....More

The Vasco Da game tower is well worth visiting when in the new part of Lisbon. Access it from the cable car for the best view

The tower was built in 1998 for the Expo 98 exhibition to celebrate the great Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama. It is 145 meters high steel structure, designed by Leonor Janeiro and Nick Jacobs, in a form of the sail of a caravel.

Vasci da Gama Tower was my favorite part of my trip to Lisbon. There are great places to eat. I took 70% of my pictures there and walked and took in the great sites
