Fascinated by Aqueducts but never had a chance to get close to one. My first visit was on a public holiday. It was closed. Came the following day prepared. Had a good wallow in it and out; up and down; front and back...well you get the picture. The Aqueduto dos Aguas Livres

We went to the Mae de Agua Reservoir, which we had spotted from "above" when we went to the Panoramic 360 on top of the Amoreiras Shopping Centre. Quite an elegant interior and you can look along the inside of the section of the aquaduct which leads to it and go on to the roof.

We enjoyed seeing the aqueduct, both inside and to walk along it. It seemed a bit strange to call it a museum, since it didn't seem to have much of an exhibit.

The ability to walk the length of the aqueduct gave a great sense of it's impact on the city. Good views, a sense of history, and great pictures (inside the water tunnel).
