This is a very weird place but in an extremely positive way. It is a store with tinned fish which are very popular in Portugal and quite iconic to that country. This place looks like a museum but surprisingly - the prices are very cheap!...More

This is a good location to learn about the history of different companies but you can find most of the same products in the market just a few meters ahead on the same street for half the price. Unfortunately we discovered that after shopping in...More

I bought some of the fish as presents- lovely store and all very nicely packaged. Was taking my daughters laundry back in my hand luggage [long story !]and was deranged to be stopped by the security at the airport- who would have thought sardines are...More

After looking around in this beautiful store, the stuff present told us that there was no problem to carry these cans in the plane so we decided to take a couple with us. We were stopped in the airport control and the police took the...More

It's a small and ordinary store at the street, but you'll find great variety of the traditionals can seafoods like codfish and tuna. You must to try and buy the "Cavala"! The staff is very kind!

Fantastic shop with a very large fantastic selection of tinned fish. Worth a look even if you don't eat fish.

Having grown up in the UK, where tinned fish was the nasty stuff you ate when you didn't have time to buy fresh fish, this place was a revelation. Took a bunch of cans home -- delicious, and a great range of options.

Terrific shop with a large variety of fabulously decorated/branded cans of sardines and other fish. However, BE AWARE! You cannot take these cans in any cabin luggage on a plane. My friends and I had ours confiscated at the check-in at the airport as they...More

A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site,
