Am amazing day in Portugal!

Victor was our guide for a full day trip from Lisbon to Évora. He communicated with us to plan the day and it exceeded our expectations! We did wine tasting, went to a cork factory, toured Evora and had a delicious lunch along the way. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend booking a trip with Amiroad!

Missed an on site guid

This a wonderful tour with experienced driver ( Pedro) who knew the roads never used navigator (huge plus) made us feel safe, and was prompt and knowledgeable all the towns included in the tour were amazing specially Sintra.
However, this tour would have been perfect if it had included a guid that would have accompanied us in all the sites (they provided only knowledgeable drivers), and do book tickets in advance for the sites to be visited.

Fantastic Private Driver Tour!

We were only in Lisbon for one day prior to our trans-Atlantic cruise. We unfortunately didn’t schedule a tour prior to our arrival in Lisbon, but were luckily able to secure a private driver named Rui Parreira at the last-minute - the night before we had to be on the ship.

We had to be at the port for embarkation by 3:30pm. Rui accommodated us by picking us up from our hotel earlier in the morning and adjusting our tour direction so we could see as much as possible in the limited time we had. He offered suggestions as to the best sightseeing options/itinerary, while taking into consideration our interests. We were able to see a variety of interesting places and things in the Cascais and Sintra regions. He also recommended the Montserrat Palace and Gardens instead of Pena Palace, which was unique and stunning and did not disappoint. I requested stopping for some Port wine tasting and information, so he personally set us up with a very informative man at a little shop in Sintra where we all bought things to take home after tasting.

Rui shared some interesting information about the areas we visited. He was very accommodating, very sweet, polite and kind. He took getting us back to the ship on time very seriously and allowed the perfect amount of time at our stops. He even bought us some special sweets from the bakery in Sintra as a surprise!

I highly recommend him to anyone visiting the area looking for a laid- back, relaxing tour with a safe and knowledgeable local driver. I love history and architecture, but it was not a heavy-on-history tour. It was very balanced. It felt like we were riding around with a good friend. I will definitely send my travel clients to him in the future and hope to ride with him again one day while exploring his beautiful country!

Amazing experience with António

We had the pleasure of working with Antonio on a customized itinerary across Sintra and Cascais. Antonio was efficient, punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to give us the best experience possible, showed us some amazing hidden gems, and arranged an excellent lunch of for us. António felt like a true friend and a trusted guide. We will certainly work with him again!

High recommend amirod!!

We highly recommend ami road. We went to Portugal for 2 weeks and my friend recommend them for a few tours. They took us to sintra one day and from Porto to Lisbon another with many stops along the way. The drivers are professional, extremely knowledgeable and proactively offer places to see to make the day perfection. The cars are clean, high quality Mercedes and extremely comfortable. The communication is top notch from the minute you inquire, to booking, to updates as to who your driver will be and reminders of when they will pick you up. We were going to do sintra on our own and we are so glad we didn’t. Our driver took us to so many more places after sintra that were must sees; including breathtaking beaches and the western most point of Europe. 5 stars all the way and well worth the money!

Antonio our guide was extremely helpful in making our tour with him a wonderful experience. He was able to provide insight into the Sintra area which added greatly to our tour. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend him highly.

Memorable excursion in style
Excellent itinerary and door-to-door service. Our driver and guide, Pedro, was absolutely professional and knowledgeable, with a touch of humor to keep us engaged and relaxed. He was in a suit and tie, and we traveled in a Mercedes minivan, so everyone in our party of five, had a window seat with lots of legroom. Pedro expertly orchestrated our visit to both palaces so we could stay on schedule. Pena Palace adheres to strict palace entry time slots.
Depending on your pickup time and location, After reserving this tour on TripAdvisor, I suggest reaching out to Amiroad via TripAdvisor to ask them what Pena Palace admission ticket time slot you should purchase separately and in advance. No need to buy Quinta da Regaleira tickets in advance. For me, I wish we had an extra hour to spend at each palace. Given this is a private tour for your group only, you could make arrangements to spend more time at some destinations versus others, within reason if you still want to stop at all destination on the itinerary.

Fabulous private tour and guide

Fabulous tour! Sintra was stunning! Antonio took us on the best tour. Starting with the castle to downtown Sintra for shopping, then cascais for an amazing lunch spot and then off to the beach! I would highly recommend this tour and Antonio as a guide. He was outstanding! We can’t wait to book another vacation and tour!!
