We booked the Lisbon night photography tour with Miguel. Booking was easy and communications were excellent. Miguel inquired about what we hoped to get from the tour and then planned a fabulous series of locations for our photography. Miguel is a knowledgeable and creative photographer and he provided us with a variety of photographic experiences. Through his extensive knowledge of the city he was able to provide historical context to the sites we visited. The city is beautiful at night and Miguel was an excellent guide. All in all, it was memorable experience and I hope to do it again in the future!

My time in Porto with Miguel was excellent, far exceeding my expectations, and totally enjoyable. We did the two day workshop spending an afternoon, evening, and morning half day shooting everything from vistas, people, street scenes, and travel images in both color and black and white. Miguel is an excellent teacher as well. I felt like I received a master class in composition, light and shadow as well as other varied techniques. Miguel generously shared his expertise, offering many helpful insights along the way. I highly recommend Lisbon Photo and its various workshop and photo tour offerings!

Miguel is an excellent guide and instructor. I only had a short window in Lisbon and was able to get a real insider view of the city and maximize every minute. The photography instruction was second to none. Miguel not only got me to the best spots, his passion for photography and instruction on how to make more interesting photos are already motivating me to plan my next shots and will empower me on excursions for the rest of my life. I’m eternally grateful and will definitely call on Lisbon Photo next time I’m in Portugal.

Miguel is a fantastic guide. Very professional in his approach and very respectful. Our tour took us to the ‘less seen’ Lisbon through the backstreets far from the usual tourist route. I captured some fantastic photos thanks to Miguel’s guidance and highly recommend his tours.

I met with Miguel who is very personable and an excellent photographer. Great to take shots off the beaten track I have taken some of the best images I have ever taken. I ask for monochrome and minimalist and thats exactly what I got plus lots of experimenting which was fun. Highly recommend and would definitely book again.

We had a great tour to Sintra with Miguel. He was very knowledgeable and got us to some great viewpoints. He knew where to go and when to get there!
My wife loved the tour and all the information Miguel gave her to improve her compositions.
We will definitely book anther tour when we come back to Lisbon.

I had a brilliant one-to-one photography tour around the old city of Lisbon. I learnt a lot, walked a lot, saw the old city through the eyes of an experienced Lisbon photographer, discovered how to see compositions differently, had fun with black and white including piano steps!, caught silhouettes in the sunset and went home fulfilled. Thank you Lisbon Photography (Miguel), it was a lot of fun.

I’d booked Miguel to take me round and show me the parts of Lisbon that are off the tourist trail. We spent a very enjoyable afternoon wandering around the little streets and alleys in the old town, finding little details and street scenes to photograph. Many of these I would have walked passed but Miguel pointed them out - he certainly opened my eyes to what was there to be photographed - inspirational. Definitely recommended.

We often try to find a local professional photographer to guide us for a few days when we visit a city or area that's new to us to hopefully find those views that might be a bit different than your typical tourist tour would show. Miguel of Lisbon Photo is one of the best we've encountered at helping us become better acquainted with Lisbon (and Porto) and providing us with various unique perspectives to try to capture in digital images. His coaching on what made for a good photo verses "crap" (yes, we told him it's fine by us to tell us what "crap" we've created; we have too much experience doing that!) was especially helpful and his honesty and professional evaluation appreciated. Overall, we believe we came home with better images due to our time with Miguel than we would have on our own.
We really thank you, Miguel, for your expertise and time putting up with a couple of old amateur photographers from the USA!
BTW, it's OK to occasionally use the bus, outside escalator, or taxi to go UP some of those hills in Lisbon or Porto! 😉

I would highly recommend Miguel to both beginner photographers and to more advanced. I am a more advanced photographer and really enjoyed that there was still a learning opportunity (Miguel has a very graphic style which is not my norm, so it was quite interesting.) Also, we spent the entire time outside and in masks, and I felt very safe, even during these stranger times. Miguel knows Lisbon well, and not only chats with many of the locals while walking, but can tell stories and the history of the city. I would highly recommend him!
