We visited when staying quite locally. Actually we were a bit short on time so just went around the outside of the building and then took a walk through the lovely gardens. As is pretty typical the weather was rather damp at times but a lovely cooling break from the heat of elsewhere (one of the reasons I understand that the palace was built where it is). I would call the place 'magical'. Beautiful views (when the cloud allowed), wonderfully odd architecture almost trying to be rather Victorian in some ways-it had links of course. Well worth a trip when in and around Lisbon, itself a gem of a city. We use local Public Transport to access which was pretty decent too.…

We bought an e-mountainbike with Ricardo and he was very open, honest and communicative during the whole proces. If I would like to do a tour, walk or mtb in Portugal, I would definitely book it with greenwalk. Enjoy!

Review of: Évora to Almendres by ebike (emb)
20 km of dirt roads on electric bikes in truly unique, millennial, places, with a guide who can talk about it in depth! From cork oak, to the vines; from a dolmen, to a cromlech via an ancient Roman road and a medieval bridge; from the sounds of the birds to the flora of the Alentejo hills... A memorable hike in the vicinity of Évora, ideal for nature lovers, sports enthusiasts and the inquisitive. After more than four hours, I wanted to do it again. It was a perfect day!…

Review of: Cascais and Sintra Private Jeep Tour
I am currently pregnant and traveling with my two small children (4 and 2) so Lídia came to pick us up at 9am from our Lisbon hotel. This was great so we didn’t have to worry about navigating the trains with strollers. Lídia was very knowledgeable and added a lot of context to the places we visited. We hiked up to the Pena Palace and it was difficult for me since I am pregnant but if you’re in decent shape you’ll be fine (I made it). The views were beautiful and the castle was pretty cool. We stopped at one of the beaches on the way to Cabo da Roca and that was a lot of fun for the kids. The tour was a great way to see the area and Lidia was very kind to help with pushing one of the strollers for me. Be sure to buckle up in the Jeep since the police are very strict about making seat belt related stops. …
