Beautiful palace (islamic architecture influence)and a great park - big, with many interesting plants. My favourite was Mexican Garden, with really impressive exotic plants. Really worth to be visited.

Visited the palace and the gardens on a misty morning in August. Loved the building structures with Arab, moorish influences. The park and gardens are well kept and offer a lush scent when walking around. Very varied plantations. So much beauty created by the Cook family and predecessors. …

Palacio de Monserrate was stunning to visit. This would personally be on my must do list as it's much quieter and peaceful in comparison to the neighboring Pena Palace. The grounds are immaculate and there is plenty to explore through the various garden sections. Note that there is a significant amount of walking on steep hills. Inside the palace there are various exhibits to see that explain the history of the palace itself or historical items. We had a guide with us on a private tour which was very helpful as he helped explain things along the way and took us around the grounds. This was personally one of my favorite stops throughout our tour that day.…

Beautifully renovated palace with intricate details and a unique architecture. On display are old photos and interesting fragments of the history of the place. Also the gardens are well worth a visit. Tickets can be paid with card as well. There is a parking lot right outside.

Moorish- Gothic-Indian style palace of English millionaire Sir Francis Cook . This place is beautiful and park with subtropical trees and plants it’s worth a visit. It’s a pity, but when I arrived here was a wedding party and part of the building and park was closed .
