We took advantage of the new hiking trail from the Moors Castle down to town. It took us past the climbing rocks through the newly restored gardens of the Vila Sassetti, very enjoyable!

A very beautiful villa on the way up to the Moorish Castle and Palace, however there's very little to see, definitely a lovely sight on a lovely walk.

We came down by foot, so I don't have a direct answer, but... In general, it is fairly difficult to park in Sintra... Since the distence from the Villa to the end of the trail is relativly short, I would say you CAN park... More

Hello Michael! Yes. It's open everyday from 9 am to 5pm and the entrance is for free. It close only on Christmas Day, on the New Year and maybe on Easter!
