You're never far away from a beautiful view in Madeira. Let me show you some of the best. Without the pressure of driving yourself and without a fixed itinerary, you can sit back and enjoy the journey and the sights, with air-conditioning and WiFi. I can also collect you from and take you to the airport, or be waiting for you as you leave your cruise ship. You can visit one of the many beautiful gardens or play golf. If you decide to walk along one of the famous levadas, I can advise which one is suitable for you and take you to the beginning and pick you up at the end. I will be happy to show you the beautiful island of Madeira.

After some internet searching we found Manuel Tours. After the great reviews we decided to book Manuel for 2 private tours, West coast and East coast. My wife was somewhat hesitant as she is not the best passenger and seeing some of the roads on a previous trip was a bit nervous. We advised Manuel and he drove very carefully. It was obvious by his excellent knowledge of the island that he had been doing this job for many years. He was totally relaxed and the tour was at our pace. If we wanted a drink at a stop or a snack this was not a problem. We spoke a lot about life in Madeira and obtained a real insight to island and family life. We would not have gained this knowledge on a larger tour. By the end of the two trips we felt we had known Manuel for a long time. He is a real gentlemen and we could have easily have spent more time in his company. The advantages of a private tour were obvious throughout the tour. I have no hesitation in recommending Manuel Tours and will definitely contact him on our next trip.

We have today been on a full day tour with the wonderful Manuel, from pick up to drop off we were made to feel at ease. Manuel is so knowledgeable and we learnt so much about this wonderful island. We will definitely be booking again when we come back to Madeira and cannot recommend Manuel tours enough.

Look no further than Manuel Tours for your travel arrangements in Madeira. We booked Round-Trip Airport Transfers and an Island Day Tour. Manuel answered all our questions, offered suggestions, confirmed all details and costs in a most professional and prompt manner. His vehicles offer luxury, comfort and are exceptionally clean. He is truly a gentleman, extremely knowledgeable, prompt, drove consciously and with great care. We never felt rushed and it was apparent he loved Madeira and genuinely cared that we had the most enjoyable experience and we certainly did ... Go Raibh Milé Maith Agat Manuel.

This was our first time in Madeira and we had the best guide to bring us around this wonderful island! Manuel picked us up at the airport, few days later he took us on a full day tour of the West side of the island where we asked him for an extra stop. His itinerary was flexible, which was really nice. Manuel was very knowledgeable, great driver and left us ample time at each destination to soak in the experience. We later asked him if he was free to take is on a levada for an afternoon, and it was breathtaking! He knows all the best views and made our stay in Madeira the most memorable experience possible! Thank you Manuel !

We booked Manuel for our holiday in Madeira in August 2022. He showed us all the best sites around the west side of Madeira. We had a great time and Manuel was very friendly and knowledgeable. The aircon in the van was appreciated too! We stopped off a lots of little extra viewpoints on the way to the main sites. I would highly recommend booking Manuel for a tour. We found the experience much better than booking a group tour as you can go around at your own pace and customise where you go.
We enjoyed our trip to Madeira and our tour with Manuel so much, that we have just booked to go again this year in September and we will definitely be booking Manuel again to do the other side of the island this time :)

We had used Manuel Tours 4 years ago and were hoping for the excellent service he provided back then and we were actually treated to even more than we expected! I had made a long list of attractions we would like to see that we had not had time for 4 years ago. He organized every one of my wishes into absolutely perfect days, accomplishing not only every wish I had but also adding a couple of nearby viewpoints and attractions I didn’t even know about! He was simply spectacular, friendly, courteous (really magnificent manners!) accommodating, interesting, knowledgeable and perfect. Spotlessly clean vehicle, great sense of humor, the list could go on and on. All I have to say in summary is, you will have not a regret in the world if you book his services. Please do yourself a favor and call or write him and put yourself in his very capable hands! You will be relaxed and happy and have the time of your life seeing this beautiful island.

I had 2 half-day trops with Manuel, combining sightseeing with travel both to and from the airport. Manuel was both an excellent driver on the mountain roads as well as knowledgeable about the plant life and history of the area. He made excellent recommendations for our trips to follow the sunlight across the island and for my stay in Funchel. I hadn't known that May was the Flower Festival! With his guidance, I was able to see the booth and dancing. A very warm and welcoming professional, clearly in love with Madeira and able to communicate his enthusiasm.

Fernando was fantastic!! In addition to Portuguese and English, he also speaks Spanish and German. My sister-in-law, who also left a review, had originally booked a jeep tour for the 5 of us - 3 adults, 2 children, and then switched to this tour because she thought it would be more comfortable, which it was (we knew when we saw jeeps packed with people that we would have miserable riding around all day one). She gave Fernando a list of places that we wanted to see, and we hit all except one of them, and that was only because my family took longer than the time Fernando gave us a few of the spots, so by the time we were to go to Cabo Girao, it was closed. Fernando was great about answering questions and providing historical and cultural context. I have a much better sense of the different regions of Madeira than I otherwise would have. I highly recommend this tour.

I am Manuel and sometimes I have more than a tour for the same day and offcorse I need some help from another driver and that day was Fernando one of the drivers I use wen needed. I know most of good drivers I can rely on them because they have to be good or they will not work for me. Best wishes,

AMAZING. Best tour in Madeira - hands down. Fernando is a national treasure. He took us to all the places on our list. He has a deep knowledge of the island. The car was so comfortable. Great for the kids!

We had half day tour with Manuel Tours in early November, 2022. We were visiting Funchal, Madeira on a cruise ship, and he met us at the cruise terminal, and delivered us back to the ship with plenty time to spare before sail away.
Manuel is extremely knowledgeable about the history, culture, and even the plant life of the island. He is friendly and pleasant to listen to. We were a party of four, and he used a spacious Mercedes van for our tour.
We visited various lookout points high over the city, including one that was at the top of a 500 foot high sheer cliff over the sea, where a number of para-gliders were flying back and forth. It was beautiful. We also visited a fishing village and did some shopping. He then took us high into the mountains for lunch at a restaurant with a spectacular view. During the tour, he was able to adjust the itinerary based on our interests.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience and everyone in our group felt safe and in good hands with Manuel.
