Great experience. We went on a safari/offroad trip in the Eucalyptus forest, a short levada walk and sunset sightseeing. Ricardo is a great driver and guide, very knowledgeable with all touristic aspects as well as other trivia subjects. Loved the entire experience and Ricardo's patience with all my questions 😀

This was our first visit to Madeira and wanted to see various parts of the island, we booked two half day tours and a full day tour. The vehicles turned up on time all Landrover Discoveries, the three guides we had were excelllent and have a great introduction the island, each route was different and gave different scenery, also including off road segments. I would recommend this company as a tour guide

We had a full day tour of the entire island and from start to finish it was so much fun! Our driver Luis had a fabulous sense of humour and his knowledge was remarkable. He would regularly stop to point things out to us whether that be the old hospital or a specific fruit tree he spotted as we were driving along. It was a great way to see a lot of the island in a relatively short space of time but without feeling rushed! Thankyou Luis 😌

Claim to be respectful but trespass down local access only roads honking their horns and going at 30-40kmph when there is no pavement nor room at the side of the road for pedestrians. Many of the local residents are elderly with mobility and / or hearing problems. When they encounter pedestrians they don't use the brakes, not that they would do much good at this speed on a road with 30% gradient. No ideas what their indicators are for. If you want to discover this island, please choose something more in keeping with the ambience; reckless driving and drawing attention to yourself would be more suited to Magaluf/ Benidorm.

My husband and I spent a lovely morning with Ricardo, exploring the East of the Island of Madeira by Land Rover. The half day tour was a great opportunity to see some of the spectacular views and lush vegetation and included a short levada walk, which was great. Ricardo was great company and an extremely knowledgeable guide. Thank you Ricardo 👍🏻

We had a breathtaking ride to the East part of Madeira in an open-roof jeep (hairstyling in the morning was just a waste of time) including amazing sightseeing, lunch, levada walks and rum tasting. The off-road part was the best and most spectacular. The driver/gide Ricardo was the best ever guide. Smartest, wittiest, with a good sense of humor. Highly recommend! Money worth spent!

We highly recommend Madeira Mountain Expeditions. We took two tours with them, both the North and East. The sights and off road experiences were amazing. The highlight of both tours were our tour guides, Dino and Pedro made the experiences memorable. They could not have been more kind and caring for us. I’d also like to give a shoutout to Anna, who helped us book the tours. She was so friendly and enjoyable to speak with. You cannot go wrong using this company for any tour on Madeira! Thanks for a great couple of days!

Besides the sheer beauty of the island our tour guide, Jaz made our day such fun that we hired him for another day. He taught us all about the island and took us off road for a quite thrilling adventure. By the end of the day we all felt like long time friends. I would highly recommend this tour company.

The trip itself was very good and you got to see lots of great viewpoints. We went swimming in the natural pool and still had time for lunch. Time spent at each stop was just about right. The guide was fun and the off road trip was a bonus for me, my husband not so as it was bumpy.
My only criticism was that I sent 3 messages which were not answered before the trip as I had not recd any confirmation other than when I first booked it. These were not answered and it was only on the morning when I sent a what’s app message just before the trip did I get an answer which was “which trip are you booked on “
We were collected and set off out of Funchal only to have to turn around and go back and collect another couple that had been forgotten about. This was a delay of 25 mins.
However saying that the trip itself I would recommend

The off-road safari jeep tour was fantastic and full of adrenaline! Our driver, Ricardo, was absolutely brilliant. He gave us a lot of information about the island. And he is a magnificent driver. Very funny and friendly. We definitely recommend going on a tour with him!

Bonjour,
Nous avons visité en juillet dernier le sud de l'île => Tour 5 "Le sud panoramique".
Très belle journée où on a profité de la mer et de la montagne. Nous n'aurions jamais pu découvrir Madère de cette manière en louant notre propre véhicule.
