We paid €30 for the two of us and I have to say it was a great ride. It is a tourist trap but that’s what you go to these countries for. Great fun and great people

Loved this! I felt it was worth the money as it’s a great, fun experience. Better done in the morning so there is no traffic and no queues. The guys steering the toboggan were very welcoming and friendly and gave us a little history about...More

We dithered a bit before taking the plunge. We read the last review about the ride being a rip of but came to conclusion that 15 euro per person for a unique experience that you cannot get anywhere else is a price worth paying. And...More

This was exhilarating ! WOW We had a pleasant walk along the coast to the ski lift which we boarded with a one way ticket up the mountain. The lift alone was an experience as the views are beautiful and the ride is very smooth...More

There are regular buses to take you back to Funchal . Just walk down the steps where you get off , ignore the rip off taxi drivers and look for the bus stop just past them .

I would say that it's probably not as shaky as it seems. I have sciatica and felt no effect, and I saw old and young taking the ride. It was more fun than white-knuckle!
