    Nice but not great
This is a nice walking street in Port. It starts at the Sao Bento station, which is also worth a look with the nice blue tile interiour. There are countless restaurants and cafés along the way. Many of the great to watch the world go by. Some chain stores, some independent ones. It's a fun walk. It goes down to the Largo São Domingos, a pretty nice and busy square. But despite being a nice walk, there isn't really much to do or see. Even though busier, I felt that the Rua Santa Catarina offered more interesting shops and more sights. This street here is ok if you got some extra time on your hands. But I wouldn't call it a must-do.

    Nice street
Rua das Flores is one of the main streets of Porto. It's a lively street, full of souvenir shops, bars, and restaurants. It's worth taking a stroll, grabbing a drink, and, above all, enjoying the buildings with their balconies and facades.

Impar Rua das Flores , Porto.
We were in Porto as part of a tour of Portugal and popped into this busy restaurant for for lunch. Great food , great service , what's not to like. If we only lived closer we'd be in there every week but it's a bit too far from Sheffield in England. We will be back to Portugal and we will be be back to Porto and we'll definitely be back to this restaurant. Thanks to the team there for looking after us.

    Lively city atmosphere
For me personally, this was the most pleasant, lively and interesting street in the city. Even during the day, a few artists, singers and musicians performed there. This is a narrow street with shops and restaurants, running from the Sao Bento Train station to Henry the Navigator Square and Stock Exchange Palace. Today it is a touristy main drag traffic-free street is lined with iron railings, vivid azulejos, outdoor cafes and enticing shops selling jewelry, antiques, chocolates, and other temptations. Near the end of the street, on the right, you can see skinny facade of the Misericordia Church, another confection by Nicolau Nasoni. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to visit this street in the evening; I’m sure it’s even more interesting and noisy there.

Your starting point in old Porto
This is the beating heart of the old city. For many years, it's been pedestrianised so easy to access and you can avoid traffic. This street dates back to the medieval period and if you look carefully at the houses, you can see some of them are five hundred years old and still have stone shields above the doors. Also look out for the wheel symbol on the walls which refers to Saint Catherine. Very pleasant shops and cafes.

You will certainly take a stroll along this pedestrian street as it links up a lot of the major sites in the historic center and begins at the important Sao Bento train station. We stayed near here and were on this street most days. Had dinner at a good restaurant here, went to a museum, had drinks in cafes. Some grand buildings along the way and a lot of people.

A lovely walk down towards the river. Admire the lovely shops & the architecture of the buildings, a lot being restored. Porto is being comercilaized fast & will become like any other sanitized tourist spot quite soon. All the traditional places will be bought out.
There is an amazing little coffee shop on one of the side alleys, just for workers but we had the best coffee here.

The apartment was beautifully clean, tastefully decorated and had high quality appliances - great attention to detail. We didn’t use the washing machine but did use dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, oven and hob, hairdryer etc. Lovely powerful shower and always hot water in gorgeous bathroom. Comfy bed. Just lovely. I’ve been twice and if I’m ever in Porto again would definitely go back. Very safe, in a great spot between train station and river front with fab restaurants, cafes and bars very near. It was everything we hoped for and more. Cute balcony too, some overlooking courtyard and some overlooking popular, interesting street. Effective double glazing and air con. Lovely hosts too x

Very nice pedestrian street that connects the upper parts of the city with the riverside area. It is lined with restaurants and traditional shops in historic buildings. This street really has, kind of a 19th century bourgeois feeling with old colorful buildnings adorned with many coat of arms and beautiful wrought iron balconies. Here is also the church Igreja de Misericordia with magnificent baroque facade. A picturesque street clearly.

During our week long holiday in Porto I thing that we walked up and down this street quite a few times. We had lunch one day at a restaurant on the street and we bought a number of items in shops on the street. Well worth visiting if you don't mind crowds.

If you have time definitely check out the street of flowers otherwise known as Rua das Flores. This pedestrian only Street is filled with cafés, restaurants and little shops. There are buskers and artists filtered throughout as well.

There is a lot of construction happening in Porto so being able to walk along the pedestrian designated street, was a treat, as it is away from all the noise and bustle of the restoration work that is happening in the other parts of the city.

We used this street a few times whilst in Porto. It was on route from our apartment to Sao Bento train station and the nearby tourist office where tours used to depart from. It was always a pleasure.

This such a nice and interesting street to walk down. Lots of shops and beautiful buildings; some with flowers adorning it. There was a parade with singing going down the street with us. A must do to take in the Portugal culture.
