We crossed the St Louis bridge to the "quieter" side and enjoyed a very pleasant, relaxing 50 minute boat tour of the 6 bridges and for less (Euro 10) than the other boat trips on the busier side (Ribeira), where all the cafes and restaurants are (Euro 12.50). It was helped that there were only 4 of us on the... More

Forget a week long river cruise, paying through the nose on an operator like Viking! We booked a two day "Douro Total" cruise directly with Barcadouro.pt for just €250 per person, all in. It was brilliant. The deal included two full days of cruising up the Douro as far as the Spanish border, the overnight **** hotel just outside Regua,... More

It's a lovely late afternoon cruise. We took a 2 hr ride down the calm Douro Valley. I do get seasick but this river is so calm and you will hardly know you are on water. We took our cruise by Douro Vintage Hotel. Our boat is named "Family 1 - Pipa Douro" Our ride up the river started at... More

We booked a river tour under the 6 bridges in Porto with entry to two port wine cellars and were disappointed. The description given before the tour said this would be a guided tour given in English for the time slot we selected, but when we got on the boat, there was no guide. We boarded with a large group... More

A very relaxed hour on the river watching all the bridges and the fantastic buildings on the shores.

Really worthwhile was a 24e deal for the 2 day bus and the cruise and Cockburns which was the best of the wine tours we did by far. The cruise is for about 50 min the 6 bridges tour which gives you a view of the city as well as down to the river mouth. A different view than the... More

This was the Pinnacle of a day spent in Porto. Sit outside on deck as we did. We were there in early October and the weather was quite mild. A light breeze but not cold to Us at all. We boarded before the sunset. We viewed all the Port cellars, other boats, the Ponte Luis I bridge, too much to... More

Six bridges tour last about 50 minutes. Old boat with individual wooden restaurant chairs (not bolted) in the front. Does not matter which company you choose, price is the same (12.50 euro cash only). Nothing special but you can see the port. Bridges no big deal

We were told to be at the dock by 07:45 and when we got there a queue had already formed. It was cool and foggy on the wharf this October morning, but fortunately I had a jacket. Thet didn't start taking tickets until 08:30, so we had already been in line for 45 minutes. The ticket taking was done manually... More
