Museum not only included information regarding Henry the Navigator but also Roman foundations and mosaics. Interactive displays as well in both Portuguese and English. The museum was very quiet and only a couple of other people there and a lovely cool escape from the sun...More

While in Porto we wanted to see the home where the influential Henry the Navigator was born. Down a small alley not far from the Henry the Navigator monument, it’s incredible to think that this building is still standing. It’s an us prepossessing building marked...More

Informative, high-tech museum, thoroughly documented and well presented through interactive displays. The staff at the reception was welcoming and enthusiastic. We appreciated the experience, it's definitely a worthwhile museum!

This was a very informative and interesting museum which covers the history of the site and some martini history of Porto. Includes roman mosaics and parts of the building left exposed from the 1700's. Excellent value at €2.20 each.

This is indeed a hidden gem of a museum. Not a large museum, but modern & excellent displays. Main focus is on the history of minting coins & it includes a lot of Porto history too. Best of all it is free. Highly recommend!
