This is a very large Cathedral worth visiting. Its terrace has wonderful views of the river and the towns of Porto and Gaia. Suggest walking down to the Ribeira on the right side of the cathedral and getting lost within the many tiny maze of...More

The cathedral is much like a regular church but the nice part is walking all around it, and around downtown. It's a very nice and small city, sunny and old. You can get lost in the really narrow streets, and see the beautiful Portuguese tiles...More

Sitting astride one of the highest points close to the river, it dominates its surroundings. Internally, it follows the style of its other contemporaries, though a little more restrained on the use of gold leaf. Perhaps one of the most interesting spots is the cloisters,...More

Visited here on a group tour which meant we spent longer here than we would have otherwise. It is a dark building and not very inspiring, there are better things to do with your time in Porto.

A typical old cathedral, but with not a lot of windows , small windows and a very dark , cool place in a hot summer environment. It is a place of religion, but of another age !

This is a wonderful place to visit during your trip to Porto, with stunning views of the city and magnificent architecture. Be sure to visit the cloisters and the turismo office outside of the cathedral.

It's worth the climb up the incline from town, nice surroundings and an interesting monument in the grounds.

Great cathedral but what's more impressive is the square and area around it. The tiles are the typical blue and white which give fabulous decoration to the cathedral. Great picture taking spots along the way. It's very crowded but also spacious enough.

I've visited more exciting places but this was a lovely cathedral and a well earned break from the heat outside
