The Casa da Guitarra (The Guitar House) is a musical instruments shop specialized on traditional Portuguese string instruments with special emphasis on the Portuguese Guitar. All instruments are handcrafted in Portugal. The instruments are treated as works of art, giving the deserved prominence to the luthiers, their construction techniques and materials. It is a place for musicians, guitarists, luthiers, music lovers or merely curious, where the knowledge sharing is the common link. On a weekly basis, the Casa da Guitarra hosts free concerts, workshops, exhibitions or seminars.The shop is located at the heart of the city, Between the Se cathedral and Luis I Bridge.

The ship is fantastic with all the guitars. Local Portuguese instruments with strange tunings. Professional and helpful staff. The instruments are of very high quality. The fado concert was fantastic. I can highly recommend a visit.
