The old building looks great against some of Brussels' most modern skycrapers. Statues OK, gardens likewise. However these are hardly botanical gardens, a lot of drinking and I am not a whimp but didn't feel comfortable.

To have a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is a wonderful place to sit by the lake having lunch, or walk along the many trails. Filling the lungs up with fresh air before venturing back into the fray.
Loved this place so green with mazes and many birds. a closed botanic garden that looks like movie. nice fountains and long passages to walk. they also have plenty of statues.
