It only costs 1euro to go round this well preserved ancient look out. You can watch a short film about the area, there are photographs to view which show La Cala as it used to be. There are models of the three main look out...More

We found it boring and not very interesting. Lots of cigarette buts thrown around and as seems usual in la Cala, a number of dogs running around not on a leach and soiling the area.

It costs only €1 or free on a Monday, to visit this attraction in the centre of La Cala. Many people walk right past but it really is worth a visit. You can go round this historic 'museum' as quickly or slowly as you wish....More

We have round towers in Ireland and Spain has them as castles, it is interesting to visit a place and find out some of its' history and you can do this in the Torreon as well as take fabulous pictures from the top battlement.

Visited here - cant understand the negative reviews, some people have no brains. Arrived here and as you would expect from a small watchtower / fortress it's not that big so it's a quick visit. Interesting video introduction explaining the history behind the building. You...More

The tower is manned by volunteers who provide information on local attractions and the area. All speak English and hope visitors make a contribution of E1 towards funds for a local charity simply for visiting the tower. However included in the price is a self-guided...More

This refurbished tower stands proudly on the La Cala de Mijas Plaza. A reminder of troubled times and marauding pirates it is now a must climb viewpoint for the village and glorious beach. Tourist info available there too

Only €1 per person and all for a good cause. This is an interesting piece of Spanish coastal history with a small museum area, gift shop, short video and great views from the open top floor.
