What a lovely holiday we had.Not overcrowded. Very clean. Lots of lovely cafes and bars and a few shops.Relaxing with a lovely hour long boardwalk taking in four or five beaches. Not for the party animal this place.Hope it stays unspoilt.

Went on the local bus from Callahonda. Lovely clean beach and town. Had a lovely stroll before having lunch.

The beach area in La Cala is very nice. I usually find myself a nice Chiringuito (cafe/bar/restaurant on the beach - there's about ten to choose from along the whole beach) at about 10 am, (opening time) and have myself a nice coffee whilst listening...More

Visited this place several times and it was OK just to stroll down the beach and have a quick beer at one of the many bars along the front.

Lovely frontage and bar / sunbed availability. Careful as the beach drops suddenly leaving you from waist height to neck height in a matter of paces

We’re back. Last year was so good we’re here again. A real home from home and has all the amenities you could wish for. The only change is the sun beds by the pool have vanished which is a real shame. Otherwise fantastic.

La Cala has it all , a traditional Spanish fishing village which has retained its Spanish character yet has all the bars , wine bars and international restaurants you could wish for ( and of course the obligatory Irish Bar ) Highly recommended

I did not see a fishmonger there. But several of the local supermakets there have fresh fish counters.

Sarah there is Street Parking ------ But you simply have to take Pot luck as Parking is bad in La Cala itself Sometimes it's better to Park outside of La Cala ( where the market is held ) and walk over
