Visited here twice. Loved it both times. The ambiance is calming and the therapists professional and caring. Really loved the spa packages and staff and massages.

Yes-i am back updating my review from before. I like to do that-- if you read my other reviews-- to let the trip advisor community know the latest on a place. Has it gone down? is there something new, etc.? do i still recommend?
The good news is that the Imperial Spa is still Imperial-- the staff remains the same but the service and ambiance i believe has gotten better. Their offerings are always trying to improve and skills continue to provide the peace and relaxing you expect from a spa experience. I am a "big" guy- and even had a little pretzel twisting thai massage experience-- and it really helped my back-- could not believe little thai girl could bend and get me to relax to the point of fixing a bad kink in my back. Gentle music, tea before and after, smiles and delights. No, i will not tell you my girl-i am jealous type, but they all are good with a beautiful Katy helping you decide the best experience for your peace of mine and soul. So, even if you are on another part of the island or hotel-give it a try.

I was in Heaven on earth for these past 9 days-- and all i can say today when the staff ask how is my day --- it is a sad day because my spa vacation is over and I have to go back to my "life". I read the reviews for Ko Samui, everyone has their favorite places and favorite spa's, I am sure they are nice. However, I would really encourage you to try this place, especially if you are just use to "massage experience" which is totally different than the get in touch-- or her touch-- with your body experience here. The staff are excellent from reception Katie- to the girls who give the different types of treatments. The therapist in the earlier review says it very well. I love my harmony package and had it almost everyday i was there. When my back went out on me-- they changed the package around to include more specific work on my back-- with something called Thai Compression therapy which including some type of directed heat.

They have lots of different type of treatments, including couples massage-- the rooms are clean; music pleasant and they will accommodate your needs.

I would say to those who are staying at the boathouse (good taste), why travel off campus and the hassle, try the spa and I think you too will realize the value of staying around home.

They can get very busy-- and it does affect the beach massage business, because unlike the last time i was there-- the spa girls have to manage both beach and spa-- so when spa is busy no one is at the beach side massage tables. I do also recommend the hotels beach side-- it is about 5-6$/hour more than those along the beach-- but the tables and atmosphere is better for me-- i have a bad back and massaging on flat boards doesn't do it for me anymore.

The prices can be reasonable-- especially when you figure taxi or travel time.

I am not going to tell you my favorite therapist-(she should know who she is) - I want her to have time for me on my next visit - but I had treatment/massages from several of the girls and they all do a good job. Some speak English better than others-- that would be my only suggestion is have the girls work on their language skills a little. I teach English on the side where I am stationed, and be glad to help next time-- for a smile.

Katie--and Oh-- thank you for making my week so much better-- i didn't site see or other things because i was fried when i came to the hotel-- and best decision i made was to spend the week at your spa. Katie the pictures of final day didn't come out --- so if you could..........

Enjoy, they even have treatments for kids-- start them early-- see you next time i am in town.

This was by far my best spa experience I have ever had. I booked in myself and my partner (for his 40th birthday treat) a Thai retreat each. This was four hours of indulgence, with steam room for two, full body exfoliation with tamarind and other spices, coconut body wrap (at which point I dropped off and woke myself snoring, embarrassing!), a heritage Siam massage (effectively Thai massage) and a delicious facial (snored again!). I am quite picky but couldn't fault the spa team on anything. They were so attentive and thoughtful and warm. 150% recommended.

My kids and I visited the Imperial Boathouse Spa for various treatments - manicure , massage , pedicure and found the service very welcoming. All the girls who performed treatments were very polite and did a great job . We especially loved the ginger tea at the end of our visit !
Can't wait to come back for a visit
