    A very informative visit
We had a great tour, very interesting and informative. The guide was extremely knowledgeable. It was good to have the option of the driver being able to take away the whisky samplings. We were disappointed with the lunches on offer, considering the photo on the website. We were expecting more than a soup and a sandwich. However, it didn't spoil the occasion as we had time to walk back to our accommodation in Wigtown for lunch.

    Whiskey distillery tour
Partner and older children had a good experience on the tour, I unfortunately had to wait with my 9 year old in the cafe as under 14s aren’t allowed. I would have loved to have experienced the tour also, we have never not been welcome as a family on previous tours so I was a little disappointed. The tour was ok, the person giving the tour said she hadn’t done many tours before so wasn’t able to answer all questions. Which for paying £50 for 1 adult and 2 over 14s was not worth it at all. They could have sat in the cafe and experienced the same tastings. The cafe food was lovely and the staff serving were very polite. Very reasonable costs for food and drink.

    Not very welcoming.
We were staying in Garlieston & saw this in passing. Called in on spec. The reception was cool. In hindsight we should have booked a tour, but there was no indication on the signage that we should do so. We wandered for 5 minutes in the display board area & left. No interest from staff there at all. Won’t go back.

On entering the reception the staff were very friendly and welcoming, Richard was the tour guide and was really knowledgeable and made the tour most enjoyable with his humour and anecdotes.
we finished off with a few drams... what more could you want on a distillery tour. well worth a visit.

Bladnoch has been on my list of distilleries to visit for along time. The distillery did not disappoint. It is an excellent place to visit. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The cafe was presentable, good range of food and beverages. My wife was made to feel welcome while I was on the tour. The tour of the distillery was interesting and our guide James knew a lot about Bladnoch and its whisky. He does not talk too much and answered any question our group had. The tasting session at the end of the tour was enjoyable with a good range of whisky. If you are feeling brave enough try the “New Make Spirit” 😉 The visit reminded me why I like Bladnoch whisky so much.

Beautiful revival of a very old distillery. 1st class experience from James from the history through production to tasting. Lilly at reception gave us a very warm welcome and all the production team were happy to see us as we passed through. A definite 5 star experience

We had a lovely tour round the distillery. It was just the two of us so felt like a unique experience and we were made to feel really welcome. We learnt lots and would definitely recommend it to others. Massively appreciated the take away samples for the driver as well.

We had all visited distilleries before so our guide Lilly, decided to take our knowledge to the next level. The tour became a blend of history and chemistry which was fascinating and engaging.

The tasting sessions were great and Lilly’s knowledge of each whisky really helped to appreciate the character of each one.

The Melba cafe was also excellent, great cakes and the staff were amazing.

A great way to spend the afternoon.
