We were excited to climb to such a biblical location and we were amazed by the sights and the views. But we were horrified by the trash which was literally every where. Shame of someone.

The Areopagus Hill has some great close views of the Acropolis, it is an easy climb up the hill using the stairs. The large rocks on top can be slippery if it is wet out or you do not have the proper footwear.

In Ancient Greece this was the high court of Athens. In biblical times St. Paul is supposed to have preached here. Today it it is a litter covered, graffiti ridden mess. It is really a shame because it is an important historical site. When we...More

Included in the 30 euros 7 sites package. They say that Apostle Paul visited this hill before going to Corinth. Can get slippery when rains.

A huge rock that you can see clearly from the Parthenon. Apostle Paul was first here until he goes to Corinto. Its incredible being in a place where history were written many centuries ago.

The small hike to Areopagus is worth it for the views. If you can only go during the day, don't miss it - but make time to see it at night. Go for the sunset and you will never forget the beauty you have seen!

If visiting Parthenon, make sure you see Mars Hill where Apostle Paul preached! Very close to the Acropolis, slippery walk way because of the ancient worn steps. Good picture opportunity of the Acropolis from this hill's view.

This is where St. Paul preached and made his first convert in Athens. Great views of the Acropolis, but be sure to wear good shoes - the rock is quite slippery from being worn down over the years.

The Areopagus is the Greek name for the site identified in the Bible as Mars Hill where the Apostle Paul declared unto the Athenians "the unknown god." It was an amazing experience to stand on the iconic hill where Paul once stood and proclaimed the...More
