Lovely Time - totally recommend!

We booked the Gin Tasting for three people as part of my best friend's bachelorette activities and had a lovely time. Spiros was a very relaxed host, his presentation was informative and as long as it should be given that we weren't connoisseurs. We enjoyed the selection of Gin provided as well as the assortment of cheese and fruits that accompanied our drinks. The environment was very friendly and relaxed, the drinks were flowing and the mood was great. The pricing was also very fair, a definite plus in the whole experience. I'd totally recommend this to any tourists wishing to try something different but also to any locals wanting to discover some of the city's hidden gems.

A wine tour like no other...

Special thanks to our wine guide, Konstantinos, who truly went above and beyond to make our tasting experience one to remember!

We booked a small group tasting on our recent visit in Athens because we thought it would be a nice first time experience and we had a great time!

The rest of the group that was supposed to join us didn't show up, so the tasting became a private one. Konstantinos made changes to our booking on the go to make sure that we get a personalized experience. Since it was just the two of us and Konstantinos, we had time to chat more about Athens, the local flea market and areas to visit, which was so kind and thoughtful of him to suggest. We had such a great evening! I strongly recommend it even if you're not the biggest fan of wine.

Excellent tasting of five different Greek wines (3 whites and 2 reds on my visit). The tasting included an assortment of cheeses, bread, and olives, and a nice explanation that combined history and geography (without an exam at the end). This place is solely used for these booked tastings, it is not an open wine bar where you can just show up. STRONGLY recommend booking a tasting here!

Let me preface this by saying I am NOT a wine drinker. I came so that my fiancé could enjoy some greek wines, and since I enjoy food/food production and history I tagged along. The host was extremely knowledgable, she even knew all about Oregon wines, which as someone living in Oregon I had no idea other people in the world knew about. For me personally, as I come from a Phoenician/eastern mediterranean background, I especially loved the Phoenician story, and how they collaborated with the greeks in ancient times to intricately wrap grape vines in a way to that protects them. The host was attentive and knowledgable, and very well in tune with how her customers were feeling. She felt our excitement about that story and delved further in world history, wine making, and it was overall a great time. Also she was very kind, I said a bad word in Greek (under the assumption that it meant something else) and our host laughed it off. Imagine my horror when I looked it up later haha

Overall I had a great experience. I think it says something when I did the tour in October and I still remember it vividly to the point where I got around to writing the review in March. As you can tell, I recommend this wine tour, even if you don't drink wine.

Brilliant Wine Tasting

I booked the wine tasting for my wife's birthday because we love wine but we're not very experienced so far. The other guest were a bit more knowledgeable than us. Our teacher was very competent and had the right feeling how to break the ice in the group so that everyone could start having fun. I didn't imagine how complex a wine could be but our sommelier made me interested in learning more about it. My wife and I are really happy about booking it.

This was a fabulous way to get my bearings on Greek wines! It was a great combo of useful and interesting information along with a fun and laid back tasting. Olina, the tasting leader, was fantastic and was happy to answer all of my many questions. I would definitely recommend this tasting for travelers who want to learn the basics of Greek wine and what to look out for on menus and in wine shops throughout their stay!

Worth a visit

A lovely late afternoon at Athens Wine Tasting was a fantastic way to cap off a great day in Athens. The staff are really friendly and knowledgable and we learnt a lot about the rich history and culture that surrounds Greek wine. I was particularly interested to taste and learn about the ancient art of resin wine which was was a rare way of connecting with the past through taste. The venue also feels very warm and authentic making for an overall great experience.

We had a great evening learning about local Greek wines with Konstantinos. Athens Wine Tasting experience includes 5 wines, a basket of bread and breadsticks, and an optional cheese and cold cut platter. A small join-in group, our session had 5 people in attendance (due to covid-19 limitations), which gave it a cool party feel.
Konstantinos is a great tutor and teaches about how wine is grown and made, the differences between the wines, the wine culture in Greece and how to taste wines. The session is focused on Greek local wines, so he explores the different Greek regions and how their climate, soil, traditions and terroir overall affect the wines they produce. He responded on all of our questions throughout, helping us understand the finer points.
The wine matrix is engaging and informative
Overall it was a great experience and well worth our time and money. We ended up buying a few bottles of the wine we tasted to take home. We highly recommend it

Very good experience. The wines we tasted were of premium quality and correctly selected to represent the main varieties of Greek grapes. The sommelier was very good and gave very interesting information about each wine. Highly recommended.

Very informative and educational guide to the best wine around Greece. We were able to see what wine paired with what cheese and learned so much about the Greek wine culture. Our wine guide was very knowledgeable about the wine. I came in not knowing what to expect and it was a very well planned and professional experience. The guide let the room talk and we all got to know each other through conversations as the wine piled on.

We learned a ton and appreciate the knowledge and fun conversation given to us buy the guide.
