Acropolis - a must do!

The Acropolis has to be seen to be believed. It blew me away - the architecture, the sheer size and the history attached to this monument.

I wanted to see the Acropolis a long time ago. So today was the day. The entrance was 10€ per adult. Our almost 5 years old daughter got free pass.It is amazing place really. The feeling to see something so old and famous. ..only if the stones could talk...

It was freezing cold and raining when we went up the Acropolis but it as truly breathtaking and worth it. A trip to Athens without Acropolis is wasted. You can view all of Athens from Acropolis and see the monuments and ruins too.

One of the essential reasons you should visit Athens as a tourist. The cradle of ancient western history as well as the birthplace for democracy. Not to miss of course. Take the south entrance to avoid some crowds. Then you'll also get good views on Dionysos Theatre, the Stoa of Eumenes and Odeon of Herodes Atticus.

I have no words to describe this place, it is impressive, stunning, breathtaking! I spent quite a lot of time there, just walking around and enjoying the amazing architecture! I'd probably recommend people to go on a sunny day because you can enjoy better the views, and be aware of the sloppy marble around the place on a rainy day!

Went here on one of the coldest days in Athens, we didn't feel like taking a 30 min hike up so we took an Uber and it brought us all the way up. While it's a breeze to go down also quite enjoyable. Entrance fee is €10 standard price. €20 if you'd like a guided tour. The Parthenon temple is... More

Great experience. Although in 30'c it was a little bit of a challenge! Still a mist see in Athens - gives a great look into the lives of the Roman people and the architecture is just stunning!

Great experience! When you climb up to the top and see the whole city and Parthenon in it's full dimension and greatness, you're feel so small and insignificant. Smell of the history!
