When you are here, you are going to be touched by the feeling of the ancient. Perhaps you would have a clearly mind of how the Greek Gods and goddesses control their world.

I'm not sure what I could say about the Acropolis that would be any different than other reviews, but it's incredible! We walked up from our hotel (we stayed at Plaka Hotel). It was a pretty steep walk up (obviously considering the location). We wandered into the gift shop outside the entrance and a lovely lady working there helped us... More

Visiting in February there weren't the hoards I've heard about during the peak tourist months. Instead it was a relaxed and interesting place to go. In fact I'd say it's a must-visit destination if you're in Athens. But I'd definitely recommend visiting it with someone who can bring it to life: tell the stories behind what you're seeing as well... More

Lots to see. Surprised to find until 31 March winter prices apply making the visit 10euro not 20. Children free but take ID for proof of age. Fantastic site Disabled lift round to the entrance at the left of the main entrance but quite a walk. Pushing a wheelchair would be hard due to angle of road. Great lift up... More

I was here back in the 80s and I dont think much has changed. Great views - I recommend having an audio guide (Rick Steves)

It's definitely much weaker than any site in Italy and France in presentation and even in right history.

If you only have time for one place to visit in Athens this should be it. On the way up the hill you pass several layers of history and monuments. Once on top the view and the sense of history is just awesome. You can see all other important sites from up there.

Allow 3 hours to visit leisurely. I suggest you visit the museum and watch the video before in order to understand the history of the Parthenon and Erecthion better.

It was really an amazing attraction with picturesque ruins and beautiful views to the city. Better to come in the morning especially during the summer time to avoid crowds and the sun heat.
