Seeing The Acropolis and Parthenon were the peak of our stay in Athens. The site is properly maintained, the only side note is the fact that the "staff" working inside the site, does not speak a word of English. Considering the international affluence, I'd suggest getting people who can convers in English.

Awsome sight. Monumental. Make sure your camera battery is fully charged as you will be taking many photos. Not recommended if any heart/ lungs/ arthritis conditions. Uneven steps and cobbled pavements. Really disappointed about the cranes/ metal cage obstructing view. It would be lovely if ALL missing fragments could be retrieved, just to once again appreciate the whole jigsaw of... More

We stayed in Athens at the Athens Gate Hotel for four nights at the end of November 2016, and visited the Acropolis during our time there. It is just 400m from the hotel, and cost us 10 euros each for admission. The views, the history, and the architecture itself are stunning. We visited late morning, and the amount of visitors... Experience the enlightenment of our species...just not during the heat of midday scorching sun! I believe there are big development plans for the Acropolis in the near future too.

We visited Acropolis as a day trip in Athens from a cruise. We travelled to the location from port using the hop on hop off bus tour, which I recommend as you can visit other attractions along the way. The lineup to enter was insanely long. But, if you purchase a guided tour you skip the line, and it was... More

Amazing to see, we faced the Acropolis. It was lit up every night. Walking though the ruins was phenomenal, but you must be in walking shape, it is a lot of uphill and rocky surfaces. Everyone should visit it in their lifetime .

We had a few hours spare while waiting for a flight in Athens so made most of the time and went to the Acropolis. Was worth the hiking and walking to see the views at the top. Would highly recommend you visit here, After a bit of trouble we got in for free as we were students (Irish) but the... More

This is a must see archaeological attraction.....Amazing craftsmanship and spectacular views......great for photography in day light and when it is close at night it is lit up and can be seen from many angles. At the time I visited the cost per person was 30 €.....

If you are going to go to Athens, Acropolis is a must-see. This may sound a little silly, but I got kind of emotional coming up the steps to the Acropolis complex. Sometimes I'm a jaded traveler but not this time. It's neat to be in the presence of such neat history. I'm so, so glad that they are renovating... More
