If you're going to Athens, this is probably already on your must see list. As others have stated, it's a bit disappointing that the restoration has cranes and scaffolding all around it, but I totally understand the need for it. The visit during the day...More

I can not describe it. Just visited with my wife; just an impressive place. All you can see are ruins and rocks. But if you like to read, search history of civilization, this is a must to see as one of the most important places...More

To go to Athens and miss the Parthenon is something loke going to the Vatican and not to see the Pope! A definite must while in Athens and a definitely a nice whif of ancient History!

This place was unreal... Though very crowded, it is so rich in history, you HAVE to see it! I would absolutely recommend visiting this site!

The scaffolding on the building appears to be permanent (it was there decades ago when we first visited). Nonetheless, take some time to ponder just how significant this place was at its prime. Then be sure to visit the new Acropolis Museum to see the...More

A must see if going to Greece the sheer size of the Parthenon is awe inspiring. Beautiful architecture not to mention the history behind it.

It has beautiful sunsets. It had very few tourists. Way less less crowded compared to the Acropolis. It has beautiful panorama views of the ocean. I loved it

Nothing much I can say about this place, except there has been on-going construction to preserve the ruins, which actually will ruin our experience to see this place...the entrance fee was amazingly expensive (around EUR 20)...

What a remarkable structure! Huge and dominating the Acropolis, this amazing building gives us a glimpse of year's past. Currently under renovation, there is scaffolding on one side, yet its hardly a deterrent.

Hi, I'm going to be in Athens from Good Friday until Easter Monday. I'm going to have 4 full days there. Will I be able to visit the Acropolis & the Parthenon or will they be closed? I wish yo visit other attractions but it seems that most places will be closed as they are public holidays! I hope that I didn't make a mistake coming during Easter. Thanks for any advise

It looks like Easter Sunday is the only day they are scheduled to close.
