There's so much to see around the Acropolis - don't make the mistake of thinking it's just the Parthenon. The Greek and Roman remains at the foot of the hill are really worth seeing, especially the complete Temple of Hephastian. However, the Herod Atticus theatre is a 90% reconstruction - visit the Dionysus Theatre next door, which is far more... More

Even if you had seen the same opera or play or singer or band anywhere else in the world you will never forget seeing this again in this open air theater. It does really not matter what you see, just beeing there is an experience. Make this a must visit for your Athens stay in the summer time!

A concert in the Herod Atticus Odeon theatre is a stunning, wonderful experice for everyone. It is built in 631 after Christ and according to roman design, it lies at the foot of the Acropolis rock. The Theater for all kinds of theater and music permances and home for the Athens Festival. The seats from the foot to the top... More

You don't understand the true size and scale of the Odeon until it's there and your staring down at it and it is amazing not just at night lit up but how intact and gigantic it really is. It's free in when you buy a ticket to Partheom and Arcopolics.

The place is beautiful and can be seen from both the bottom and the top of the acropolis, but obviously it only has an interest if you have a chance to see during a proper performance and ideally in spring or summer. A typical antique theatre with an amazing acoustic for great concerts. If not performance, then don't spend too... More

Visit it during the Athens Festival in the summer. No matter what the show is, just by the tickets and enjoy an unforgettable evening in this beautiful roman odeon. Everlasting memories.

You can enjoy its perfect view from the Akropolis. Its orchestra pit & bleachers have been restructured in the III century p.C.
