This was not something we planned on visiting, but I'm glad we did. You get to see some lovely views of Athens. We went on a nice windy day so the walk was pleasant. We were there on a Tuesday in July at around 11...More

We climed up the hill wondering if we should go all the way to the top since it was noon and very very hot. The view is really beautiful all along the way though when one arrives to the top it is a whole different...More

It was one of the best experience in Greece. You should visit this place during the sunset and during the night. Amazing views

Mount Lycabettus was not at the top of my to-do list when I got to Athens, but every time I bumped into a local, they told me that I shouldn't miss it. I gave in and hiked to the top of the mountain (really not...More

This is a 'must do' if you go to Athens. We walked 25 mins from our hotel to the cable car and caught it up the hill. We enjoyed the view and took photos from the lookout then had a delicious dinner in the restaurant...More

I walked up the hill a couple of hours before sunset. Despite the heat wave (temperatures over 100F), the walk up the hill was not too challenging. I'd highly recommend taking the time to walk rather than cabs or funicular like some have recommended. About...More

It is not a strenuous walk from the top car park to the summit although some locals tried to tell us it was too hot to go. The views are great across Athens so worth the detour. There are a couple of restaurants if you...More

A ride on the small funicular railway takes you to the top to a beautiful little chapel filled with some lovely iconography. Outside at the top of the Mount you have an amazing panoramic view over all of Athens. Such a dreadful shame that the...More

As the title saying, it is the best spot to see the city of Athens. At several angle, you could see the Acropolis, port of Athens and the metropolitan of the Athens. The view is stunning!

What an amazing view. We took the funicular to the top 7.50 euros each on a Sunday and enjoyed the stunning views. There was a church service on that added to the ambience! Would definitely visit again!

By far the ritziest neighbourhood in town, Kolonaki is
home to most of the chic boutiques and designer label
stores. Here, the wealthy say no to austerity by
dressing in their finest and spending hours in the
trendy cafés around Kolonaki Square, sipping the most
expensive coffee in Europe. The area also contains a
couple of notable museums and cultural institutions,
which add to the air of nobility. The leafy upper

The funicular is open after sunset, it takes less that 10 min to go up the mountain in the funicular.

There is a rail car in Kolonaki at the foot of Lykabettus mountain that will take you to the top. Also Taxis will take you there.
