We always have to have just a lot of small things. Anything grilled is outstanding. Scordillia is a must. Get the house red wine. It compares to any good major label. Service is excellent. When the original owner sold, we held our breath.. it couldn't...More

Syntagma is the heart of modern Athens and the political centre. The national gardens nearby are a nice resting point with a row of high palm trees. But we also came here to see the changing of the guards. It's a bit funny to see,...More

I think this is the correct place for this, there are a few places that the guards change hourly, Its an interesting spectacle as their march is a little peculiar, worth a short wait if your in the area though.

The building looks plain. I came here to see the changing guard. I could barely see and shoot video of the changing guard because of the crowd in front of me and I am not tall. Since the changing guard happens at the beginning of...More

Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is
Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament
building on its upper side and surrounded by other
large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande
Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia
are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like
the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia
Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents,

The changing of the guard occurs every hour on the hour. The grand changing ceremony is every Sunday morning at 11:00, and on national holidays.
