Our trip with Greeking Me completely exceeded our expectations. In booking the trip, Nikos was able to to design our trip exactly to our specifications and it truly was just what we had hoped it would be.
We had licensed tour guides for our visits to the Acropolis, ancient Corinth, Nafplio and Mycenae. All three were experts in their field and left no questions unanswered. They were friendly, helpful and we enjoyed our time with each of them.
We met our tour leader, Vasiliki Stergiopoulou on our 2nd night and she, and our driver, Alex, would remain with us until we were dropped off at the airport. We could not not have asked for a better team. We became fast friends and shared many great times together. As we hit inclement weather at the end of our trip, Vasiliki revised our itinerary and added activities that she knew we would enjoy.
We fell in love with the mountains of the Peloponnese and visited many of the tiny villages high in the mountains. Our driver, Alex, was from one of these villages, Vytina, and he was kind enough to show us his childhood home, took us for a walk through many beautiful streets and we had lunch at one of his favorite taverns.
We all took an unplanned hike up the gorge to the Monastery of Prodomos. An exhilarating (and wet) hike uphill through beautiful forests and breathtaking views. Both of these days were a great part of our trip.
The food and wine tasting tours were first rate and we enjoyed each one. Our favorite, however, was the time we spent with Dimitrius and his family at their organic farm and vineyard. After a cooking lesson for cheese bread, we drove up to his vineyards to see his crops. We returned back to his home and had a wonderful Greek feast prepared by his wife and daughter.

What we remember most is the bond we formed with Vasiliki and Alex. They made our trip one we will never forget. They were caring, kind, personable and cared about our every need.
Obviously we would recommend this trip to anyone. It was our first trip to Greece, but it won’t be our last.

Our flight was delayed arriving but the driver was waiting as planned. He had cold water on board which was very welcome.
The journey to the apartment was smooth and he knew exactly where it was.
Although we had to move our Battlefield tour due to a personal issue for the guide it still went well. We were picked up on time. The driver to the tour was very informative and even showed us some family photos of the invasion.
The guide who showed us the battlefield sites was very knowledgeable and visiting the personal museum of one of his old army colleagues was a great touch. We are all ex British Army so to have someone show us around who had served in the Hellenic Army meant we had something in common.
The transfer back to the airport went without a hitch and we even managed to get picked up a little earlier than planned as we were waiting around towards the end of the day. This meant we were not rushed at the airport. The service was very accommodating and much appreciated.
Overall, as said before, we were all very happy with the service and would definitely use it and recommend to friends and family.

We cannot adequately express our enthusiasm for this tour company! Our trip met a nd exceeded all our expectations and specifically met our desires and interests. Greeking Me organized every detail and arranged for transportation, lodging, and licensed guides in Athens, on Naxos, and on Santorini. All of our guides were passionate, congenial, and knowledgeable about their subject matter and career. Indeed, we enjoyed a beautifully organized itinerary and have recommended Greeking Me to everyone we know. This company definitely offers a staff always engaged and helpful. We can't wait to return to Greece and enjoy the assistance of Greeking Me once again!

I have booked 2 tours with this company - food and wine tasting tours. One back in December 2019 with my girlfriend for a bachelorette party.. our guide Tiara was absolutely amazing and we had such a great experience tasting and learning about the Greek culinary scenario. It was a private tour for the 6 of us and we paid 75€ each. The amount of food and drinks we had felt like it was enough given the price as we visited 3 restaurants and we had several appetizers in each of them.
Since the first tour went so well I have decided to book this tour company again for the celebration of my first wedding anniversary with my husband.
This time our guide was Tatialena (hope I spelled it correctly :)) and she was absolutely amazing! Her passion for her job goes above and beyond and we spent a wonderful evening with her.
The downside was really the amount of food we ate this time. We’ve also paid 75€ per person and we visited 3 restaurants. At the first restaurant we ate some anchovies, a fava spread, some typical Greek appetizers filled with rice and wrapped in vine leafs and a Greek salad. We’ve also drunk 2 glasses of ouzo, a taste of tsipouro (asked by me and offered by the restaurant as it was really a sip) and a mastica desert. We’ve moved on to the second restaurant where we had a souvlaki each plus a coke that I have requested since I had stomachache. The third place was the wine tasting place where we tasted 5 different wines (it must have been 10dl for each glass) accompanied by cheeses and finally we went to a desert place where we shared a piece of cake.
I had to do the math and check how much this was worth it by checking on the restaurants website and the food in total must have been 90€ for the 2 of us (not considering that being a tour company they must have a deal with each restaurant).
Unfortunately we’ve left very disappointed with the very little amount of food we ate/amount of money they’ve spent. I also work in the tourism industry and I know that they have to add their mark up but this one was definitely a rip off!!!!
I just hope you pay your guides adequately enough as they are brilliant, knowledgeable and really really nice!
Unfortunately their prices keep going up even for other activities so I will probably don’t book again.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lengthy review of your experience with Greeking.me and acknowledging our guides’ talent and personality. We also believe them to be wonderful at what they do. Nonetheless, we feel very disappointed to read the rest of your comments as we firmly believe them to be spiteful and not doing any justice to the level of service we strive to offer. In particular:
-About the price per person: Prior to your second booking with us you were informed that there would be no other participants in your group (due to this season’s pandemic traffic is close to zero!) and that the tour could run as a private experience for the two of you at the price of 234 euros. After reading your response we decided to honor the fact that you were a repeating customer and offer a 4-hour private food tour -only to the two of you- at the price of a small-group tour (EUR 75 per person in a group that normally has up to 10 people!). This fact alone should make clear that we really wanted to accommodate you in the best way possible.
-About the quantity of the food and wine: We were pretty surprised to read your comments as they must probably be the first to say that the food was not enough; on the contrary, our travelers often “complain” that the food is too much! On the tour you have tasted: a variety of Greek appetizers (fava puree, anchovies, Greek salad, dolmades) with ouzo, a typical Greek souvlaki with the meat of your choice, 5 different Greek wine varieties accompanied with cheese (the average 60 ml glass of wine served at a wine tasting is half the size of the wine drunk at parties or mealtimes in order to avoid inebriation or overdrinking) and two servings of a typical Greek dessert. We truly believe that this quantity of food is more than enough. Having also participated in plenty of food tours in Europe ourselves, we take pride in the fact that we’ve never sacrificed the quantity of the food we offer to maximize profit. Speaking of which, we NEVER choose the restaurants that we work with based on the amount of discount we would get out of each cooperation. In most cases, we pay 100% of the price of the food and we are proud to work with establishments that WE love and want to introduce to our guests, as we would do for our friends visiting from abroad. It is our philosophy to help travelers experience Athens and Greece as if they were locals and we would never choose touristy, unoriginal places only for the sake of profit, even if this seems like the easy choice.
-About the mark-up: We are happy that you calculated the cost of the food yourself because it is the greatest proof of the fact that we hardly made any profit out of your tour! Adding this to the guide’s fee and the 24% VAT tax we pay in Greece for doing business, it’s a no brainer that we could have just as easily spared ourselves the trouble and not run the tour at all. On the contrary, we decided to do it in order not to let you down.
-And a general comment: Since you work in the tourist sector yourself, we can’t help but point out the lack of empathy or collegiality in your comments; in a year that has been unprecedented and the most devastating for travel businesses all over the world, we would expect at least an effort by your side to share your opinion with us over email or via the phone prior to posting an ugly and -truthfully- unfair review on a public platform. Travel businesses -ours included- are striving to survive this pandemic and it is a shame to hold on to this kind of punishing attitude for no good reason.
We are indeed sad to read your comments but we do not feel the need to apologize for trying our best to accommodate you; thankfully, we have hundreds of other travelers’ wonderful comments to read and draw strength from in order to keep doing what we love more once this crazy year is over.

Theo was fantastic. Very knowledgeable of the area and took us to a lot of great places while also giving us ample time to explore. As we only had a day to visit Santorini we really wanted to make the most of it and Theo did just that. He was also very friendly and took some wonderful photos of our family for us. I highly recommend booking a tour with this company if you are looking to immerse yourself in this beautiful city!

Planned a somewhat last minute family vacation to Greece for May/June 2021. During my research for each of the 4 places we were visiting, Greeking.me was mentioned over and over again, and all were 5-dot reviews. Since I knew next to nothing about Greece (Athens, Santorini, Crete or Mykonos) I decide to reach out directly and ask for help planning our 3+ weeks. I heard back from the amazing owner Nikos almost immediately. I told him who was traveling (us plus our 2 adult children) and what we enjoyed. I gave him dates we were in each place and the names of Greeking.me tours that sounded interesting to us. Nikos turned around a beautifully organized itinerary in no time and our trip was complete! Athens included: Athens for Foodies (Tatialena), Athens by Night with Dinner (Penelope), Acropolis & Museum (Eva), Cape Sounio w/Temple of Poseidon (definitely go spend a 1/2 day at Lake Vouliagmeni) with Petros, Day trip to Delphi (Petros and Eva), Day trip to Mycenae & Nafplion (Petros and Vivi). We knew all this during our 5 days in Athens would be exhausting, but it was all so worth it!! Santorini included a full day Santorini tour with winery visit (Aposkolos) and a Santorini Sunset Sail. Crete included Knossos Palace & Heraklion Food Tour (Elpida). We started our 5 days in Mykonos with a half day tour (Zena and Dimitrios), enjoyed the slower pace with each place we stayed. All guides were great, super knowledgeable (certified). All drivers were wonderful, with sparkling clean vans and extra waters for us. Food was one of the best parts of our travels. And everybody was so happy to see us, tourists!! I could have never planned all of this. We even had a little medical issue and Nikos was quick to help and accommodating with our schedule.

This was hands down one of the highlights of our recent 30th anniversary trip to Greece. This is because of the absolutely charming, funny, interesting, and professional Tatialena who was our guide. Tatialena met us in the morning at the fountain at Syntagma Square and walked us through several parts of Athens stopping at 7 different locations to taste breakfast, snack, and lunch foods; ending with a stop for some authentic Greek coffee and desserts. Not only did Tatialena talk to us about Greek food, but she incorporated Greek history, aspects of Greek culture and Greek dance into her tour. You could tell that Tatialena loves people, loves her country, and loves what she does. Of course having a small group of 7 certainly added to the experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves food and if you can, ask for Tatialena!!

Nikos, could not have been more engaged or helpful!
Traveling to a foreign country, there is always a concern about people showing up on time and at the right place. I worried for nothing.
I could not have been more pleased or more perfect.
The driver was waiting for us upon our arrival to Athens!
Marialena, how could anyone not love her! We were exhausted from traveling, so my son had to go back to the hotel on his own in the middle of our tour, but I carried on. Marialena, is well informed and gave a great combination of fun and history to her tour of Athens.
Sabine, Gave us a tremendous guided tour of Mykonos. Combination of walking and driving seeing the beauty, shopping and history, along with some hot spots. We even paused for some Greek Salad!
And the driver from the Port back to the airport was equally punctual and pleasant.

I went on the day trip to 7 traditional Cretan villages today and I can’t recommend this tour highly enough! Dimitri from Greeking.me picked me up from my hotel and drove me to Chania to meet the minibus. The group was only small, 5 of us in total, plus our guide Andreas.
The day was wonderful, starting off with a visit to a small folklore museum, and then we stopped at various places throughout the day to learn about cheese making, Raki distillery, traditional bakery and finally we had a fabulous lunch in the final village.
Andreas and Dimitri were both really friendly and helpful throughout and it was great to see more of the Cretan countryside and sample lots of different foods, such as cheeses, biscuits, breads, a traditional Cretan lunch and not to mention the Raki! Thank you all for making it a perfect and fun day out!
The day was wonderful, starting off with a visit to a small folklore museum, and then we stopped at various places throughout the day to learn about cheese making, Raki distillery, traditional bakery and finally we had a fabulous lunch in the final village.
Andreas and Dimitri were both really friendly and helpful throughout and it was great to see more of the Cretan countryside and sample lots of different foods, such as cheeses, biscuits, breads, a traditional Cretan lunch and not to mention the Raki! Thank you all for making it a perfect and fun day out!

My experience with the greeking tour company was amazing! I was reluctant at first, as I’ve never booked a customized tour before, but I was blown away by their helpfulness, hospitality and attention to detail. The staff at the office were by my side always helping me with anything I ever wanted – while being polite and friendly too!
The guides were excellent too. They knew what they were taking about and it showed. I learned so many interesting facts and local tales that I think I have conversation starters at hand for the rest of my life!
Of course the places I visited were exquisite. We booked a custom 14 day trip visiting Athens, Delphi, Santorini and Crete! The landscapes, the beaches, the calmness -ahhhh take me back! I feel like I made the most out of every second on the country without having to sweat the small staff as everything was taken care of by Greeking. I cannot recommend them enough!!! All in all, it was a dream come true :)

I am traveling with my family (my husband, my daughter 14 and my son 11) to Greece. We always take a cooking class wherever we travel. We are wondering if your agency runs classes in Crete or Athens. I believe Crete would be better for us. We'd be happy to join a pre-arranged class, but happy for a private lesson as well. A walk through the local market is also very educational before the cooking starts. Our timing is June 19-22 in Crete.
