It is a free attraction that a lot of people overlook when they visit Delphi. It was a nice historical site to visit. It is worth while to visit and walk around to see the historical artifacts.

This is a little further down the road from the Temple of Apollo and worth the hike down the hill. Take a picture from above if you don't want to walk down the hill.

The Tholos is a circular structure at the Sanctuary of Athena which is near the ruins of Ancient Delphi. You can walk around it but not into it. There isn’t much left except for the circular base with only 3 of the original 20 Doric...More

My wife and I were here on a Globus tour. This site is worth seeing, and one of the Delphi attractions. It is an unusual circular shape.

Tholos in general means a round temple, and this one can be found in the Athena Pronaia complex a little below the Delphi ruins. Athena Pronaia means the Athena you have to pass through in order to reach the site of Apollo. So the Athena...More

The Tholos is a circular building or temple on the hillside below the main Delphi archaeological site. It's purpose remains unknown, but its well worth the walk down the hillside path to pay a visit after visiting the main site (no additional charge).

Incredible views, not to miss! Take the time to explore Grecian history. The hiking can be tough, but keep going! Certainly worth it. Very interesting structure as you traverse the hills. Wonderful!!

Hire a car. Stay 2 nights in Delphi - you get a room in a small hotel fairly cheap - then you have a whole day for the ruins. Have an evening meal at the Dion.
