An unforgettable place. Fantastic ruins will take you back in past. You can easily imagine that you are at the time of the Delphic Oracle. And Zeus was not far away. Huge magnificent stadium. The impressive ruins of the Temple of Apollo.

This is the place where the divinations were made in ancient Greece and also at some moments in the Roman Empire, which should be reason enough to make this a must-visit location. This is where the remains of the Temple of Apollo and some of the older Oracle traditions are found - of course, earthquakes and bad human beings did... More

I felt amongst the gods in the beautiful scenery that surrounds Delphi. There is a lot of uphill walking and so it is not suitable for wheelchair or those with difficulties at an incline. We went during December and so we had the site almost to ourselves, even in the freezing temperatures the climb still brought on a sweat. I... More

The ruins are absolutely worth a visit. If going from Athens either plan to stay a night in town or go very early since they close at 3 PM (as many things in Greece do). There is a free tour of the Gymnasium (south of the road) and a fee tour of the Delphi ruins north of the road. Do... More

I wont say much. The place is fantastic i wish everyone could live the experience of visiting this place. If and when you are given this opportunity make sure you have enough time to stay and explore the ruins, spend some time to think about the way of living of those people in ancient times and offcurse this is one... Impressive view at the feet of an impressive mountain. You feel humble walking past what has once been the centre of the world. Where legendary kings went for advice. A kind of antique Vatican. It is a pity I visited in July when it is too hot to wander between the ruins. The museum was also impressive and educational. Will... More

A step into the past ... Ancient ruins of Delphi are a must to the archeological fans of Ancient Greece's history & heritage. The energy is incredible the museum well maintained and Iocation very beautiful all year around. It is advised you arrive early as the close early afternoon even before closing times.

We took a short trip to Delphi with friends and we weren't disappointed. It was off season so each place was peaceful with not many people there. The museum was definitely worth visiting.

Before coming I thought the best things in Greece were Santorini, Athens, Delphi, Meteora, and Olympia. Boy was i wrong. I didnt make it to santorini or meteora but I would do 4 days in the peloponesse before I would come to delphi. I imagined the theater would be much better. The stadium was better than the theater. Epidaurus theater... More
