Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice old orthodox church. Free entrance. Very small, but nice quiet place to sit if you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the streets outside. Situated in the Old Town, close to the harbour.

Nice church to see while you are walking around the town. I wouldn’t have come to Chania just for the church but while here and by the harbour and market it was nice to come in and see. Very nice artwork on the inside.

There are some very good artifacts to see, a very quiet and peaceful place, right in the centre of the Old Town.

We looked inside this Church as we explored Chania town. It is highly decorated. We did not stay long as we had a young child with us and it is not a museum and is used for worship.

My son and I had attended a Greek wedding there in 2005 and returned in Oct 2019 to see old friends. Returning to this Cathedral brought back fond memories and seeing the beauty and actualizing the historical value allowed for great thoughts.

A nice little cathedral which won’t take very long to look around. We visited as my wife is religious and likes to visit and light candles to those we have lost, I’m an admirer of architecture and ambiance

Quite fornominally ornate and filled with holy treasures, the cathedral is a place to visit and contemplate life, away from the heat and hurly burly of the old town. Not particularly large, it has many icons of the saints and sliver and gold relics for the faithful to adore. The lectern is high but the pulpit places the priest near to heaven so that he can preach to the congregation.
