Any Greek speaking person who has ever held a literary Book is bound to have read Kazantzakis. Visiting the tomp of this great man is Homage to his Free spirit and writting.

Nikos Kazantzakis tomp is what you can see on top ...very nice vew to the city center ...the venetian walls are rebuilded and you can say that tou can walk on them somehow with safety ...but dirty

The tomb itself is interesting and surrounded by a pretty garden. It is unfortunate that this effort to brighten the walls - and there are new pathways down to the town, too - is spoiled by graffiti.
