Lions square is very famous and common area of the people meeting point. You can miss lions square as it's located in the middle of the Heraklion centre next to ships and coffee shops / bars Imagine drinking your beer with this view You can not touch the lions although entrance free You can take a nice picture at night... Not a bad Venetian fountain, but you won't be impressed if you've been to Italy. An interesting area of the city to wander about.

The fountain is lovely. Smack in the middle of the shopping/restaurant district in the centre of Heraklion so you can't miss it. Good picture opportunity.

Interesting fountain in the middles of the square. it is neat to see but nothing overly special. I don't know that I would go out of my way to have seen this.

The fountain lies at the center of Heraklion surrounded by many cafes which cater for all tastes. Whilst it is officially known as the Fontana Morosini it is commonly referred to as Lions Square....the venetian fountain exhibits four lions gushing water from their mouths as well as many more ornate features preserved over centuries. A real treat there is a... More

This nice fountain is in the Odos Ikosipende street in the center of Heraklion, in the middle of the square, this fountain has her name from his Venezian disigner and date from 1628; the lions are in stone and are the supporter of the fountain; there are a relief with bulls, delphins, seamonsters, and nymphs with music instruments.

Beautiful fountain, but we found it works brilliantly as a landmark/meeting point too. Also from here you can find you way to the harbour, park, gypsy market and many of Heraklion's central attractions. The fountain itself is surrounded by fast food places and crowds, pickpockets and "beggars" are here in force so keep your money out of sight

We walked through the market and then sat down for a beer a beautiful location although I found the photo bombers or whatever they are called this week annoying .When you are having family photos and then these idiots try to bomb your photo and then have the brass neck to ask for money so be warned
