After a 45 min walk in ancient path to Karthos, you will discover a spectacular view on ancient amphitheater and Apollo temple. Stunning and unexpected, it was the highlight of our visit to Kea ! A quite special ambiance , very quiet and charming.

It is unfortunate that the basic free maps are rather poor and the girl in the Information Office in Korissia was so poor and uninterested. We got so much better advice for the lovely lady at the Red Tractor Farm. They have obviously had people...More

If you don't know where to start, leave your car at 37.5702806, 24.3163551. Route number 6 it's a easiest one. It will take you to main beach. Perfect place for snorkeling. 3m from shore you can enjoy wildlife, unlike popular beaches where is only sand....More

Steep walk down a beautiful path, only for the fully able-bodied, about 45 minutes walk each way (we reckoned it’s about 3km each way) but so worthwhile. Totally uncommercial, no signs, no rubbish, idyllic when you get down to the beach. Clear water, fish, snorkelling....More

We were blown away by the walk and then the fabulous swim. Going to the antiquities was more beautiful than we had expected. Mind boggling to think of the expertise of the ancient Greeks in sculpture, architecture, drama and of course philosophy and politic.

This is the second time we've visited these ancient ruins. Both times, we've been the only visitors. It's quite spectacular. You can hiked down, take in the ruins, imagine what ancient Karthea was like and then take a dip in the sea before hiking back...More

As a break in our workshop at Cavo Perlevos, we were recommended a trip to Karthea. It was a fantastic walk through beautiful Greek nature, ending up in a bay with a quaint church, amazing ruins and a harmonious and inviting beach - we even...More

This isn wonderful archeological site and gives one pause when considering the vast culture and millennia that once dominated the region. It is a short hike from the main road. The beach area is good as well.

Such a great experience to see this sight! We were taken here by Kea Divers and were blown away! The hike up is only about 5-10 minutes!
