Yes there is white sand, yes clear crystal water BUT i think the place is overestimated....Karras beach is better according my opinion of course.
The beach bar is a bit pricy, 16 euros for a pair of sandbeds....and also everything you will get from there.
Anyway it is up to you what to do or not

Prassa is probably the most picturesque beach in Kimolos - turquoise waters, and incredible white sand. However, I didn't find it so relaxing, as it was fairly crowded - by Kimolos standards! In addition, there are large trucks going up and down the road, so there is constant noise. We only spent about an hour and left to find somewhere more quiet.
Note - In summer, this must be the only beach in Kimolos with umbrellas and a beach bar. If this is your thing, you will definitely enjoy it.

We read on Trip Advisor that this and Mavrospilia are the best beaches...went to both. Not worth the drive. After being frustrated we drove by Bonitsa and that was gorgeous. Shade of trees and gorgeous long beach...you can sit far from crying babies...

Lovely server. We were unlucky as it started to rain a bit. We would have stayed as a beautiful beach but we were told there are no toilets anywhere?
What do you do once you eat and drink where does one go ? In this day an age just one toilet is not too much to ask is it ?
What a pity as otherwise would be good.

Beautiful beach with clear water. Great for swimming.
Lounges are not cheap (€30) for two facing the sea. Second and third rows cheaper. Chose lounge as not many trees or shady areas.
However, while the beach is lovely, the taverna adjacent to the beach plays loud music that somewhat spoils the tranquility of the beach itself. The volume of the music is most likely to disguise or drown from the even louder sound of the generator placed behind the taverna.
As per previous reviews, no toilets or changing facilities available.
Despite the loud music and constant generator noise, we still enjoyed the beautiful beach.

A beach that impresses you from the moment you see it from afar. These beautiful turquoise crystal waters are unique and extremely impressive. You should definitely visit it.

There are some hidden small coves with sandy beaches on Kimolos, which are only for keen hikers or people with a boat. The most popular beach, which can be reached by car is the one near the hamlet of Prassa, which officially is called the Agios Giorgios Beach due to the nearby chapel of St.George, which is unlocked.
For tourists on Kimolos without their own car, it is best to rent a vehicle (recommended is a 4x4) on the neighboring island of Milos and bring it over with the small ferry, which is popularly known as 'Pantoufla' (slipper). Otherwise one can make an appointment with the only taxi on the island. I used to combine a swim here with a beautiful walk of two hours from the village, but the paths are not easy to find. To walk on the main road is not recommended, since up to the little fishing harbour of Agios Minas the road is tarred and then for a further 45 minutes walk one has to go on a wide gravel road, which gets used by the lorries of the Bentonite Mine just behind Prassa Beach. And Bentonite here is a white powder, which covers everything.
The Beach itself is organized, also in early September, when I last visited. Once I was here in May and then it was empty (and the water still quite fresh). There is a canteen, called 'White Bay', which rents umbrella's and sunbeds for 5 Euros per couple. They also serve drinks and some snacks. Since they don't take up the whole beach, there is also room for bathers, who don't want to use their services.
There is fine, white sand, but further out in the water are some rock formations, which offer themselves for snorkelling.

This is an excellent beach for those who care about the essence of swimming and lazing under the sun.
The water is crystal clear. I have never seen garbage or traces of pollution.
The turquoise color of the sea is very tempting. The ruins of a small castle to the left makes the scenery even more exotic. The beach looks safe for the swimmers and not particularly exposed to winds. Nevertheless, there is no lifeguard around.
The sand is white and thick. The seabed is mostly sand.
The beach does offer some basic services during the high season (sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bar) but there is plenty of space for those who want to use on their own equipment.
The road to the beach is not very good, but any car can make it. You can even go there on foot in 1 hour more or less.
There is no mobile coverage on the beach (which may be called an advantage by some of us).
During August the beach bar plays awful dance-pop music and they play it loud. Personally, I'd rather listen to the sound of the waves.
If you ever visit this place, I suggest walking the trail at the end of the beach taking to a small chapel with a nice view.
If you are visiting Kimolos you cannot miss it.

Truely the nicest beach on the island. Popular among the Greek tourists. There is a little bar on the beach and they rent sunbeds and umbrellas for €5,00 entire day.
Next to this little bar where they serve drinks and snacks there are no facilities, such as a toilet/shower. When sunbeds are all occupied or you would like visiting other beaches you would need an umbrella, which you can but at the supermarked! You surely will need one in summer.
Perfect beach with crystal clear water and white sand. The bar is good and there is nice background music! Favourite place of the island to me!

Qualcuno saprebbe indicarmi se posso riservare la spiaggia attrezzata? Grazie in anticipo

Καλημέρα
Σε λίγες μέρες πάμε στο νησί και θα ήθελα να ρωτήσω αν γνωρίζετε.... επιτρέπονται τα μικρά σκυλάκια στο οργανωμένο μέρος με τις ξαπλώστες; όχι για μπάνιο, αν μπορώ να το έχω μαζί μου;

Στο νησί επιτρέπονται παντού τα κατοικίδια... Πολλοί επισκέπτες φέρνουν μαζί τους σκυλάκια και γατούλες..
